Okay so , i figured out how to do Plot Reset and well , this is going to be my first time plotting a villager house .

I got Zell (which is my 10th villager) moving in . He hasn't fully moved in yet but you could see his plot .

His plot is literally right in front of my house . I have Maple and Chrissy as my neighbors (next door) then i saw Zell's plot in front of me when i loaded the game as myself (mayor wise) so i totally freaked out .

So i searched up plot reset so i could try doing it . I had to sacrifice my Futaba~ so i can plot reset . Ive tried around 10 times , the plot is still in front of my house . I saw some forums and some comments saying that you must have 8 villagers to plot reset so i got really bummed out .

So i came back here after my break of watching videos and reading articles of plot resetting .

Can you still plot reset your 10th Villager ? ;w;

Huh? I convinced Marina(my about-to-be 10th villager from campsite) and I TTed(to the day where she would plot, which is tomorrow from now) using a new char to check If I can plot reset, and it works.

Ive done everything , did the second character , roamed around , saw the plot , turning off my whole system and also closing the application , and still nothing >w<

Yes, you can plot reset your 10th villager. I've done it numeral times. Matter of fact, I'm doing it right now with Erik(10th villager). Sometimes the villagers can be really stubborn and stay in one spot for a while, don't freak out. As long as you're doing plot resetting properly and never saved after 6AM with an existing character, then you should be fine and his spot is not permanent.

Ps: The same thing happened to me a while ago while plot resetting for Marshal. I had crated new characters about 20 times and his plot didn't move an inch. I started to freak out, and thought his plot was permanent. I took a long breath, and continued on, he eventually moved to another location. Just keep at it :)

is it better to turn off your system all the way or just the application ? ;o; haaaaaaalp !

You loaded up as your mayor? I don't think you can change a plot after loading your mayor...

Not 100% sure though. *lets people who know what they're talking about answer*

Did you first open your game with your main? or did you create a new character and open the game?

well , after i TT one day as mayor , i found Zell's plot . are you supposed to load up a new save file to see the plot before you load as mayor ?

Yep, Zell's plot isn't going anywhere. Once you load up the game with an existing character everything is permanent - even if you don't save.

You don't have to do either one of those. Also, when you said you loaded up as your mayor, you mean before 6AM right?! If you loaded up as your mayor and saved at 6AM or after, then I'm sorry to say but his plot is indeed permanent. You're suppose to load up as mayor at 5:58AM, save and wait til 6AM then come in as new character.

;w; omgeeee , then his spot is permanently in front of my house v.v)

i guess i have to cycle him out ?

Yeah, I'm sorry :/ Though now you know how to properly plot reset xD so there, silver lining.

yeah , now i fully understand the plot reset -o- .

but its weird because i never plot reset my other villagers , and they chose decent places -w- .

darn you Zell xD

I generally plot reset by setting the game clock forward to the next day once I'm ready to plot reset and load up new characters. Loading up at 5:58 AM to save seems a bit of an unnecessary step.

aha i find it kinda funny sorry

but yea sorry Zell's plot is forever there :-(
now you'll know to open your game with a new character instead :-)
if you want to TT and plot reset..you have to change the time on your actual 3ds

well , at least i know how to , idk , i guess ignoring Zell is the best way >w<

Good luck in cycling him out, and I hope your future plot resets work out much better! :)

thanks c:

Since you said you loaded the game as mayor, you can't plot reset anymore. He's gonna be there in front of your house until he moves. The reason people don't load the main character(or existing characters) is because when the game starts, it loads the town by saving. So since you've done that part, you can't go back. Your town's saved as having Zell in front of your house. TTing backwards will only place his house and allow him to move in so either way he'll be in that spot. Sorry. Btw, it doesn't matter how many villagers you have, you can plot reset as long as the existing characters are not being used to open the game. Just turning off the game is fine for plot resetting, no need for the whole system to be powered off.
