Help! Tablet POS Question

Hi all! Aside from accepting payments, does anyone know what tablet POS can offer? I'm running a small coffee/ gift shop and I want to make work easier for us. Your inputs will be more than appreciated.

Some tablet POS system includes inventory tracking and tip calculation. some can be even used directly at the table to take orders and even take the checkout process to the customer. The most important thing is to choose what is best for your business

@fernstain, know of any companies offering such app? I'm currently looking at this iPad POS system. It looks great but probably expensive?
