So I'm minding my own business and I downloaded a wallpaper off DeviantArt (which I thought was fairly dependable ;;_;;) then bam! VIRUS TROJAN EXPLOSION!

So, do you guys know how I get this sucker out? I use Kapersky and it isn't detecting it. >_> I really don't know anything about computers. I think this may have something to do with the vulnerabilities in programs like Java or something Kapersky kept telling me about but I had no idea how to fix.

Thanks for reading, and please help because the rents will kill me if I take this computer down so quickly X_X

Oh and if it helps it's claiming to be "Vista Antispyware 2010." Yeah buddy, I totally didn't notice that I never installed that. >=T

<small>And if you're tracking my keyboard strokes, trojan, well you and your creator can go suck on eggs. so there. D:<</small>

It was one of those fake "Windows Security warning" programs right?

When I had that problem, I went to Google and typed in "removing ______" and I got detailed instructions on removing stuff that the virus ran on, you might wanna do that.

Pretty much, except I've got the 2010 Version. Lucky me, it's nice and current!

Do eet
Thanks to you and Rob! =D

Does anybody know how to fix vulnerabilities in programs? I kept getting Java trying to autoupdate itself and I wasn't sure if it was Java or a Virus because it wouldn't let me stop the update. I think I could stop it on my account because it's limited, but who knows.

Backup, Reformat, Reinstall. Your fault for running as Admin.
But I was on the limited account. o_0 I never go on the admin account. I think my mom does sometimes, but I'm not sure.

Well then run Ubuntu or Debian and use Windows in VirtualBox. Got a virus? Shut off the program, nothing ever happened.

Or just run Ubuntu or Debian directly.

Those are operating systems? Sound fancy. @_@ Too bad they can't help me now!

Alright everyone, I'm going to try the instruction on how to remove it. Here's hoping it works! 8D

Hey guys, I think the virus is dead (unless it's gone into hiding, which would be slimy but not entirely unexpected)! Thanks so much for all of your help. =]
