Help deciding on my next Cranky villager? Edit: Decision has been made! TY!

EDIT: As awesome as Gaston is my vote is Rooney as his house interior beats Gaston's by a landslide.

It's Apollo's time now. I have gained his picture and I'm ready to see some fresh, new faces.

I have narrowed down my two choices:

1) Gaston
2) Rooney

Reason for Gaston:

This concludes my reasoning for Gaston.

Reason for Rooney:

Rooney is a surprise choice I never new existed until a few moments ago. You would think he is a Jock but no, he is in fact Cranky.

So I like to imagine funny scenarios in my mind between my characters. Dom is my Jock villager and I find the idea of Rooney "training" Dom to be hilarious. I have yet to design my island and I would probably make them be neighbors with their own gym area.


I am leaning on Rooney... but dat Ron Swanson villager... lol

I would vote for Gaston. I don't know why, but I just love the juxtaposition of a cranky bunny. Rooney looks interesting though, but I feel like the Ron Swanson comparison is enough of a justification

I would go with Rooney because it sounds like you were going to choose him anyway and you’ve already decided a role for him in your town too. I personally wouldn’t have a villager in my town just for the meme factor like Gaston seems to be, but that’s just my opinion.

Yeah, bad villager interiors are a pet peeve of mine too so I know exactly how you feel. Similarly, I love Phoebe and she's probably my favorite uchi, but her NH house is so bad that I had to give her away. The magma theme is cool, but all she has for furniture is a log bench (lmao), a cot and a bonfire? Like, wtf it was so barren that I thought it was one of the default starter homes the first time I saw it. I like my villagers to have actual places to live, so I feel kinda bad when they live in trash or don't have anywhere to sleep, etc.

That's aweful about Phoebe. Speaking of trash I actually thought of getting Billy for a time and then I saw... that...
