I was thinking the same thing, I really don't like gorilla villagers and a cat would make more sense.

these villagers arent supposed to actually be based off the sanrio characters (well they are...but not completely)

these villagers are more like promoting sanrio characters. having a hello kitty cat would be too easy haha. the same goes for the my melody deer and the pom purin bear, they're almost like fans.

this is such a nostalgia trip for me omg... me and my younger brother grew up playing animal crossing GC and watching the old 90s hello kitty and keroppi cartoons... i'm excited.

this is a good update but i don't have a new 3ds or a reader so i can't use it unfortunately
but this is going to make it much more easier to get the villagers you want, new villagers, and new furniture! it's really exciting, but it's sad that not everyone can use the update unless they have a new 3ds or a reader

yes, i know! i just hope the new villagers will be able to be given to people, so anyone can have a chance to get them instead of just the ones who have a new 3ds/reader

OH MY GOD HELLO KITTY YES YES!! I want all the Sanrio furniture yes yes yes.

And those new villagers look soooo cute! Especially the dog- looks almost like a Sanrio character too Not saying it is but it has the appearance omg I can't take the cute.

I don't get how you get the furniture out of those villagers places? Do they sell it to you?

You can order their furniture from the catalog like you do with the HHA houses on the bottom screen when inside of the van.

While I'm extremely doubtful we'll be getting these cards stateside and other places but the good news is that there's pretty much 100% chance the update will include these items and villagers and it would be translated just like with the other Japan only DLC (7-11, Campus Set, 7-11 HHD, etc.) so all you need is to import the cards or trade the items from someone who owns the Sanrio DLC online. Thank goodness amiibos and amiibo cards are not region locked!

Yeh, the amiibo cards won't be region locked, so we can either import the cards, or just get the items off someone we know, or order them Can't wait.

I'm sure all of the items will available through the internet eventually without buying cards so I'll probably do that. Does anyone know if they'll be trade-able? I'm assuming not otherwise they wouldn't sell as many cards?
