Having trouble deciding my new villager round up

I have my list of dreamies and all, but some I'm really on the fence about.
I'm trying to keep my town filled with at least 2 of any species so they're sort of in groups.
I'm also trying to keep things sort of colorful
It's family/friend themed in a way, but still trying to keep at least one of every personality.

Like...
Chief/Whitney are a totally cute couple/besties
Bluebear/Tammy I imagine as sisters
Renee/Merengue are sisters or cousins or something. They're so cute together<3

But I'm really hung up on joey/scoot. and celia/julian.
Idk If I love the duck Idea, I like how colorful they are though, they seem like they could be awkward brothers/friends.
And celia is just prettyyyyy, Julian is one of my last originals who I adore.

So do I knock out the ducks and find celia/julian some partners. Or maybe give up on celia, find julian a partner and add another cub to the mix(they're my favorite lil babies right now<3)...
OR
drop the ducks and celia, add a different species pair and leave julian as the lone horse since he's the only actual unicorn anyways and all the other horses will surely be jealous.

Idk guys, I'm lost. I'd love some opinions and villager match-up ideas for these guys!

Weird, this sounds so much like my town! I was also trying to do 2 of each species. I have Fang/Whitney, Poncho/Bluebear, Erik/Deirdre, and Rolf/Bianca. But then I also had Lolly as a starter and really liked her, and eventually got Lionel who was one of my favourites from my last town. At first I was planning to maybe get Rudy to match Lolly, or dump Lolly and Lionel for Aurora and Tex, but in the end I just kept them as the odd ones out! So my advice is keep them!

I think that's what I'm going to do until I get all my dreamies. Then If I'm not feeling it any more I'll them cycle out naturally and change things up a bit with the ones I'm questioning.

I really love skye and wouldn't mind a trio somewhere in town so maybe I'll try for that later~
