Considering there are 10 villager slots and 8 personalities, it's almost a give-in that you'll have at least one personality double, but I'd love to hear from people who have 3 or more.

Why did you choose to keep so many villagers of the same personality? Does it ever get boring? etc

I sorta accidentally got 3 normal villagers but to me they "feel" different from each other, if that makes sense. Eunice strikes me as being super into reading, Marina strikes me as being very young, Marcie strikes me as being a little older and more mature, etc, even if they all have the same dialogue, they feel like different villagers to me. I'm also considering getting a third uchi villager in Drowsy, I love the uchi designs.

I think I had three Smugs at one point in my original town it got really boring but I still loved being called as cool as a fair number of cucumbers.

In Bunifrey, I have three peppy villagers (kind of a given with an all-rabbit town and most rabbit villagers being peppy), and Gemedet has three normal villagers right now, though I'm toying with the idea of letting Maple go.

But like you said, with ten villagers slots and eight personality types, having multiples is a given; it's just about choosing which personality(ies) you like enough to not mind having duplicates.

I have three smugs in my main town. The reason being smug is my favorite personality. Even though the dialogue did get repetitive at times I've never got bored of them.

At the moment I have 2 snooties, 4 lazies, 3 normals, and a jock. It's all fine to me though.

In Mochi, you will see 4 normal villagers. They're just so sweet c:
I also have 2 peppy ones, 1 uchi, 1, smug, 1 snooty and 1 lazy just to balance it all out lol

I had 3 normals once and it was just too bland and boring. I can only stand 2 of the same personality and only if their birthdays are months apart.

im planning on getting 4 normals.
i have a pre town with any villagers of the personality type that my dreamies dont have and then move in as many dreamies as i can. then I can get all the pwps i need and then i will move out the ones i dont want to get my completed town

I have 3 normal villagers. The dialogue does get repetitive sometimes, but I picked my favorite villagers based on appearance for the most part, so it doesn't really bother me. I think the dialogue gets repetitive no matter what though once you've played the game long enough. I only have one cranky and one uchi villager and they repeat a few of their lines so often I've just about memorized them.

I have one of every personality type and 2 uchi. This makes my town very interesting, with clashing villagers and a varying dialogue.

i have 3 normals in my town; lolly, fauna and skye

main reason for that is i love the appearance of the normal villagers the most.

like you, while the dialogue between the 3 are the same, they feel different.

lolly feels like a young, innocent child, skye feels like a very kind-hearted teenager, and honestly fauna kind of feels like someone who doesnt like to socialize much

I have three peppies in one of my towns(Cookie,Patty and Bianca)but I don't get bored by them because they're different species and their houses aren't close to each other.Having them live in different parts of a town seems to make a difference.I don't notice the similar dialogue as much because by the time I get to another peppy's house I've pretty much forgotten what the previous peppy said to me(being old and feeble minded also helps).

Wow this is honestly exactly what I feel and I'm glad I'm not the only one lol

Even though Erik and Beau say the same, Erik seems more like a clumsy and derpy kid while Beau is much more relaxed and down-to-earth.

There's occasional repeated dialogue, but for whatever reason, it feels different coming from different villagers, so I don't mind at all. When I play the game, I notice that even though they're apart of the same personality category, they don't always react the same way to something. Or one is more prone to saying a specific thing that the other wouldn't, so it makes them seem a little more diverse.

At some point, I had 3 crankies in my town: Roscoe, Fang & Wolfgang. Roscoe came off as really aggressive and fired up. Wolfgang is blunt & kind of a smack talker. He has a certain energy about him too, but is more relaxed in comparison to Roscoe. And Fang is the sweetest of the 3 crankies, and tbh hardly seems like a cranky at all in my town, which is a little odd, but I'm not complaining; I think it's cute lol. He reminds me of that one "acts tough but is actually a cinnamon roll" thing that goes around in fandoms, idk.

I have 5 cranky villagers and honestly I don't mind having an all cranky villager town. I just love the cranky personality and most of my favorite villagers are crankies. I also love the smug and the lazy personalities and don't mind having those. I dislike the jock and the normal personalities (skye is really cute though) and I could do without the rest. I'm also not very fond of most female villagers

I have Goldie, Flurry, Celia, and Lolly. Trying to decide who to get rid of. It's too much.

I think it definitely helps when the villager types have their houses spread out - I once had two peppies live next to one another and it kept feeling like "too much pep!"

But the Normals are so darn cute - it is easy to see why so many people have multiples of all those cute gals.

I really don't enjoy having more than 2 of any personality. It always ends up feeling repetitive to me.

I have one of each personality and two rep personalities, two crankies and two snooties, and I like it that way. I don't like having a lot of repetitive personalities. At some point, I used to have 3 peppies (by accident thanks to my gf) and I ended up hating that personality. The worst part, it happened twice. I had Victoria, Pippy (gf town) and Truffles (gf town), and then I managed to move out Pippy and Truffles. But theeen...Peggy arrived from my gf town, then Felicity was camping, so I decided to tell her to move in since I liked her and thought she might be my permanent peppy. So I had Victoria, Felicity and Peggy. At the end I just kept Felicity as the plan was.
