Have you successfully decorated a starter villager house?

i rarely share screenshots but i was so proud of this.....
after gifting jeremiah blue furniture for WEEKS, with some he refuses to display (like the blue loft bed instead--it would have been perfect), i finally got this baby to display all the items i'd hope he'd display.
i actually don't mind his starter interior now and he matches the exterior which is brown & blue.

apple's "renovation" still on going, good thing the peppy furniture matches her anyway but it's marina that is a lost cause.
it's hard to make her display the pink furniture i've been giving and it's not like it will match anyway since her wallpaper is blue. i think she's the normal villager that i'd have to let go sadly.

Zucker's starter house looks better, but I wouldn't call it successful. Wish they would just update their house.

It's so difficult because almost every gift I give to Goose, he puts a duplicate out and it removes something else I previously gifted him... It is extremely wasteful when I'm trying to get him some ironwood furniture, which is expensive, and then he just removes it to put a duplicate out

On my way, especially for the two starters. But sometimes they just replaced what I previously gift......so it is going to be a long road.
