Have you noticed more compliments when you change your look?

I was wearing the same thing for like 3 or 4 days then I got a kartina fortune so I changed my look. It's pretty ridiculous looking but all of the villagers I talked to after that were like "wow you look great" I'm not sure if it's because I had good luck after that or if they do every time? I only noticed because I was like "??? No I don't look great" so it registered in my brain this time how often it was happening

Huh, that’s pretty interesting! What I have noticed is that certain villager types seem to be more likely to give compliments out in the first place. My smugs, for example, tell me how great it is that I have a “signature look”, while snooties are always complaining about how boring I am when I don’t change my clothes often enough, haha. Go figure.

Really! I have my second character wearing band aids too I don't play her that often though so I've never noticed anyone say anything
