Have you ever turned off wi-fi on Club Tortimer?

Prior to yesterday it never occured to me to just turn off wi-fi if I'm being held hostage on the island but Its definitely welcomed... unless that elusive exclusive item is there.

All the time. I don't really go there for bug catching or fishing so I don't care if it gets flipped. There's a kid I meet there a lot and we'll always error on each other.

I was once held "hostage" on there, they started a tour and didn't go on it and since they started a tour, you can't leave until they go on the tour or cancel it

Nope. I've had it happen a couple of times before but I just wait it out. They usually get bored after a while and give up.

Yes, unfortunately I had too, once when someone left there inventory open and I waited for like 20 minutes, and couldn't leave so I just turned my wifi off, (and lost a lot of beetles :< )

There was this one twit who started calling me an old hag though :I
Then there was this other incident where this other twit decided to chop down all the trees and started a convo with Grams so that I could not leave. So I sat for a tour and went afk. After a few minutes she got bored and allowed me to leave. Wut

I've encountered a lot of people hold me prisoner. It was so irritating because I couldn't go anywhere. :c

Some Korean kid just tried to prevent me from leaving and thankfully his island didn't have any good items. Wi-fi switch to the rescue!

I have this experience the very first visit to CT. two kids there held me hostage and force me to go for tour. While all I want is just to see what CT is all about, naively thinking I could catch bugs that won't be available at my own island, they scared away all my bugs, insulting and so, telling me this is their island dominant and I MUST FOLLOW THE RULES! then force me to go tour, I followed. Then half way on loading to tour I flipped the switch. I felt so pissed off and thinking "hey so when game involving online everyone is just so mean!!", but all this just last until I joined TBT and changed my perspective =)

O.O you mean she try to take boat and gone?? LOLLLLL IMO mostly kids will be around CT. Nowadays I only go there to hunt rare island gifts, go, see nothing interesting, go back. I don't even say hi at all, which I knew is rude but yea, no time to do that xD

I don't remember my first CT experience but this was the third. Some guy came outside and asked if I wanted a ''puppy'' and I asked what it was and he said ''puppy'' so I just ignored and said ''no''

then he asked to try on my crown, went for it and said ''sure!'', i dropped it and he quickly ran to Leilani not knowing I could easily just trap him/turn wi-fi off. I went with the wi-fi switch off method but I wish I would of trapped him. Kind of deserved it.
