Have you ever redone your island more than once?

It seems like people feel a lot of pressure from seeing pics and videos of islands that have every tile terraformed and decorated with a clear vision and theme, but... that is a very, very small minority of people who pull that off. Find the little things that make you happy and give you satisfaction, and build off of those. Don't compare yourself and your ambition to some youtube video. Steal their ideas that you like!

I haven't re-done my island once, yet. The basic layout is very close to its original shape, but bit by bit, week by week, I'm making it into something better; something more me.

I’ve done it twice. So. Many. Bells. Wasted. At least 6-7 million bells gone.

I'm on Island #4. The first two islands only lasted a couple days, but Island #3 lasted long enough to upgrade Nook's Cranny before I realized the problem with all my islands thus far—the river entrances. And so, onward to Island #4. I gave it a different name than all my previous islands, for a bit of extra luck.

i've only redone my island once, but because of the way i placed my buildings, i've had to relocate every building on my island at least three times. most of them are on the beach now to make room for terraforming, too, which means i've got a future of more bells going down the drain ;w; it's so rewarding though! digging up my flowers and undoing cliffs/paths initially made me nervous and frustrated, but i'm super happy that i decided to take that leap, because i'm really proud of how my island looks now~

I've redone my island entrance 3-4x I'm finally satisfied with it and I have no intention on redoing it cause it honestly takes so much time

ughh, yes! i spent so much time terraforming for a ghibli themed town only to realize that i wanted something completely different ;; now i'm starting all over from scratch after tearing everything down
props to you for having the patience to start from scratch again 😭

this was definitely a need. I do have the habit of comparing myself to other islands & it makes me think I have to match that creativity 😩

If you embrace the online community at all, it's pretty much impossible not to. The struggle is real! But the important thing is that you do you!!!

Not yet! I can easily see myself changing stuff up with the coming seasons. Especially the area around my house.

I haven't redone my island yet but I probably will once more items or shops are available in game. I usually terraform to make things more accessible and easier to navigate though

i haven't yet.. but i can see myself growing bored of certain areas in the future and changing things up.. i don't know if i would ever have the energy to redo my whole island though.

I've only re-done mine once so far! If I decide to do it again I think it's gonna take a LOT longer lol, I've put down so much more stuff compared to the first time.

I redo things in sections over a period of a few days... And then add little things as time goes on and I come up with more ideas. I haven't done any major tear-downs of "completed" areas... I think that would be too daunting. So I guess I'm constantly redoing my entire island?

I redo my island all the time :(
only reason I've racked up so many hours. I always get ideas for things and end up taking down previous projects cause they don't fit the new idea, I'm too indecisive 😔

I've terraformed my island 3x. And earlier today, I transferred over 300 of my flowers to the beach so I can slowly start terraforming again...

I’ve definitely redone some areas! I’m not very creative so I over-use flowers sometimes, changing my mind about the colours I’m using and leading to an overflow of flowers lol

raises hand. Yes. Ugh. I flattened my island just to end up redoing it into big cliff areas. I've redone the dang thing at least twice. Right now I just have odd areas but I'm always demolishing something and rebuilding.
Now I stay more away from terraforming because I really like it but I can't stand having cliffs in my vision.

I recently watched a YouTube-published video in which the content creator visited a game-player’s island.

It is immaculate.

Part of what it explained it is that the game-player is an engineer.

So, that was nice to find out because it explained the meticulous details of the person’s design.

It also served as a reminder, whether I need to be reminded, that it is best to not refer too much to how other people approach playing be aware how you [me] plays “New Horizons.”

When it comes to my island, I take it a day at a time. It then dawns on me, at different points, whether to make this or that change.

I find that by doing this, I make some good choices.

I don’t want to terraform just because I can terraform.

I terraform when—and where—I figure I should.
