Have you ever had a villager grow on you?

When I first saw a picture of Chow and Canberra online I thought they were both ugly. I had Chow shortly after that in a cycle town but I hated his creepy smile and his mole. Canberra just looked so mad to me. Anyway, I started my new town and was irritated to find Chow greeting me at the station. Two villagers I didn't want and one of them was right there. Chow was the fastest one to befriend me in Pink Tea and it wasn't long before I started to adore him. The poor guy just wanted to have a friend and he's always telling me how the other villagers are intimidated by him but he's really sweet and I love his light pink coloring. ^^
For Canberra, I adopted her from a give away thread. They clearly thought she was ugly too and that kind of made me feel guilty. >.< I quickly grew to love her blue eyes and light coloring. She's always running around watering my billions of roses. Agnes was over there immediately, asking about the new girl and they've become buddies since then. Canberra was at her birthday.

I cycled Poppy into my town think I could sell her later down the road....absolutely not. Love her to pieces now.
I've had two villagers grow on me in New Leaf so far (there are too many to list from the other games 
).
Sterling was one of my starting villagers (I've had New Leaf since Christmas 2013), and I didn't really like him at first. I think it was because in ACGC, I had Pierce already, and they looked the same to me. I don't really like the eagle villagers much, but over time Sterling became one of my favorites. Sadly, he just moved out last week, and I didn't have the chance to make him stay as he never said he was leaving.
The other villager that grew on me was Lobo. I like most of the wolves, but for some reason Lobo wasn't growing on me like Fang or Whitney had in the past. I've had him for about six months now. Eventually he starting asking to move away, but I knew if he moved then I would more than likely get a villager that I didn't like, so I made him stay. And then I had my friend talk to him a few times to see if he would move out, and while she was talking to him I realized that the reason I didn't let him move was because I really did like him - after that I told my friend to stop talking to him. He's still in my town and hasn't asked to move since then.

For me when i first started playing Animal Crossing I had Tabby in my very first town and I thought she was so creepy, and I would avoid her like the plague. But after playing the game for some time she began to grew on me and she is one of my favorite villagers. I do have to say that I like her New Leaf design rather than her Population Growing one. People may think shes really creepy, but I like her

Yeah for me it was Clyde the yellow horse. I thought I had all the pwp suggestions I wanted from a Lazy so I let him go and I regretted it almost instantly. He was so upbeat and had the sweetest best one liners. Made great observations and I found him to be very philosophical. My son had just got his own copy of the game and 2 or 3 days later Clyde showed up in his town. I went to visit him and he remembered me and said something about his time in my town. I took a screenshot I'll try to locate it. He instantly became friendly with my son's mayor as well so it's really in his nature.
When I first got Peaches I thought: "GROSS I DON'T LIKE PINK!!" But now she's one of my favorite, totally a sweetheart.
Also I didn't think much of Walt at first but he is one of my favorite Grumpy. I moved Bruce (deer) in because he look handsome but I preferred Walt. Unfortunately he moved out :'(

I was thinking to post my long story of Pierce and Lucha about our relationships and affairs but then I realize that I'm a thread ruiner and if I post that really long story it will just turn things awkward. Let's just say that Pierce and Lucha are one of the villagers I have grew on and possibly falling in love with.

Drift was in every town I created. So he caught on to me.
I got Muffy as a random move in early on and hated her at first, i thought she was an ugly emo sheep. But i pretty quickly grew to love her and think shes adorable and now i never want her to leave
I also thought Marshal was just really bland and boring at first, but after getting him and seeing his adorable facial expressions i love him now

but i have 3 villagers that have grown on me
First game i had it was Dotty that grew on me since she shares her name with the nick of a real life friend of mine.
and she had the same kind of additude that my friend has
(Miss her daily and wish i could get her back soon)
Then there is Stitches: i found him creepy as a living doll thing but he is so nice and playful,
and i just adore him for all the constant gifts.
Last but not least my now biggest dreamie that i did not care too much for that been there from the start of my second town back in 2013 but showers me with love and affaction and gifts all the time that is Merengue <3
