For me personally, yes. When I first got it, I played for hours upon hours a day and I would tt because at the start of the game, there wasn't much to do, and that tt really ruined the game for me so I took a break and I promised I would never tt again, (just to move forward in the game, i still do for villagers, etc)

Yo, I only got sick of Animal Crossing once, back in City Folk. I got back to playing it in November 2012.

Right now I would NEVER get sick of it.

Well, yeah. I'm too frustrated to play it again because I lost my Marshal for whom I worked hard to get.
Other than that, as long as you keep playing it not too much and balanced, it won't get boring for me.

Yes. I find that if I don't have a current goal or if something bad happens to my town (e.g. a dreamie moving out unexpectedly), I lose interest for a while. This site has helped motivate me to complete my goals, though, since things that seemed unachievable before are within reach now (dreamies, rare furniture, travelling badges).

Mmm, I enjoyed the game for the first 4-6 months of playing it, as well as trading on the forums for TBTs and in-game items that I never knew existed. It was all fun and well, but it eventually got boring because I started to run out of things to do. Fast forward about 8 months and I'm back to playing in a brand new town, so it is becoming more enjoyable to play once again. PWs that need to be built, Hybrids that need to be watered, a museum waiting to be filled and of course, Tom Nook and his evil mortgage plans. Ah, Animal Crossing, how much I love this game <3

While I'm not necessarily tired of the franchise as a whole, the fact that I played Animal Crossing: New Leaf for more than 1.5 consecutive years (including the Japanese version of it back in November 9th 2012) and seen pretty much everything it has to offer didn't helped me to motivate playing any longer. Not even starting a new town would help me revitalize my interest.

The latest installment did a pretty good job on consistently retaining my interest for at least eight consecutive months, something that the past Animal Crossing games never managed to do so. The first two months in particular were particularly hectic, as there's almost always new things that seems to come out left and right, which are especially more significant to me as I was one of the few importers who actually got to experience the game.

In that note, I'm looking forward for the next installment of Animal Crossing. I can't hardly wait for that to happen!

I've gotten sick of some of the past entries before, but I haven't really gotten to that point with New Leaf yet. I'm sure I'll have to step away from this game eventually, though.

Yeah, kind of what everyone else has said... I did get bored with some of the other games but back then I knew nothing about hybrids or paths and I was unable to play online with other people. With New Leaf there's a ton more to do, and since I know about a ton of new stuff I can do to make my town better I'm not getting bored with it. Of course, I'm still in the early development stage, so when my town is more complete we'll see what happens.

It depends. Sometimes I'm completely obsessed with it and can't put it down, and other times I have zero motivation to play and will only check once every few days to make sure none of my villagers try to move out. There is no in between, but I've never completely stopped cold turkey.

i got sick of it because of duping and cycling. my friend and i would dupe every hybrid and crowns then i kinda just stopped going on all together. it started to feel like a chore. i took a 6 month break and reset so all is good now. i love it more than ever

If I play in an excess amount of time, the games can definitely become tiring and repetitive. But with the just right amount of time, I think the series is a wonderful stress reliever.

I started getting sick of it when I used to play by myself, I didn't know about the online community at the time and I finally got around to putting it away for good. If felt nice, I finally, felt free.. But one day, I came across this forum, decided to sign up..
I figured, "it wouldn't hurt." Now, it's life.

I wouldn't say I get sick of it, but there are periods where I don't have time to play and the game doesn't seem too appealing to me so I stop playing for a few months. But I think I always loved it, even when not playing it!

Not really. There would be times where I just don't want to play or I'm lacking the motive to play at all, or I'm too busy. But I don't think I'll get sick of AC. At least not for a while...

I got sick of ACNL after four consecutive neighbours moved directly in front of my house... I didn't know about plot-resetting and I wasn't enthusiastic about placing any of the PWPs on my front lawn. It's not like the only space available was my front lawn, Isabelle would tell me that the town was "underdeveloped". After the fourth neighbour moved in, I used my girlfriend's game to store my stuff while I started a new town. It still left a bitter taste in my mouth though, so even after I had everything settled I didn't play for over a year... Recently a bunch of people I know online started playing. Learning about plot-resetting was the kicker, and I'm playing ACNL every day now.
