In case you don't know, cross dressing is like dressing up as a person of your opposite gender. For example, if you're a boy and you want to wear a dress.
I only cross dressed once. I just got back into Animal Crossing the day before Festivale, and I wanted to get into the spirit. However, the only thing the Able Sisters had was the dress. I still have it.

clothes don't really have gender imo. and cross dressing is just kind of a tactless and insensitive term. (kind of with transphobic implications)

The male-specific clothing in AC looks more unisex to me so I would say no. I actually dress my AC character even more feminine than I dress in real life. Although I would definitely try male clothes if I saw any cool QR codes and wanted to see what they looked like.

My town is named Loki, and one of my alts is based off of the character of Loki.
The best Loki outfit I've found is a dress~
Soooooo technically my male Loki character does wear a dress, haha.

As for my Mayor, she wears everything. I actually prefer pants and shirts, though, because I sorta hate the running animation for dresses (The way they put their hands up lol). It annoys me some when I wear the Loki dress on either character, but I live with it because that thing's just so beautiful ;w;

But yeah, the intended gender of any clothing doesn't bother me. If Chuggaa could get away with a Peach dress for a week then I'm sure anyone can.

Bree has a tendency to send female clothing to her male mayor.Here's one of the things she's sent.If I think it looks decent my mayor will wear it around for a while.

To be fair, the game itself genders these clothes so I can see what OP means when they ask if you crossdress with your character. I agree that clothes themselves don't have gender, but ACNL does put gender and some of their clothes (Like Labelle's stuff) so that's probably what they're getting at here.

The game does. If you're a male character and you try to buy a skirt or a dress, Mable will ask if you're buying it for a friend. Also when you wear a dress, the character runs like how a girl would run in a dress stereotypically.

I have a couple of times, Just to see how I would look and for costumes. It was fun, but as I got older it was harder to his my chest and I had no money for binders. For me, I don't cross dress any more simply becauseI haven't found any characters appealing enough to cross dress as, and friends have taught me how to genderbend certain costumes and stuff. I would invested in a binder, but proper ones are expensive or hard to find- and I wouldn't get much use out of one.

Does the varia suit count? I think I wore that at one point.

But yeah In dream towns they always dress me up like a girl.

I only put on a dress, then take it off just so I could have the regular shorts. That's the closest I've done to cross dressing.

Hehe i love to cross dress both on animal crossing new leaf and in real life ^.^ it's really fun in my opinion. To pretend to be someone else and its crazy when i do it in real life people don't even recognize me.. i have a pretty good "guy" voice imitation lol but yeah for animal crossing it think the boy look can be very cute too so i like wearing the men's clothing as well.
