Heck no. For trades I normally hold them in my town and drop the items/bells on the ground and then the visitor comes, drops their stuff, and picks up their goodies. I never thought or tried to cheat before because I know what it feels like :c
In a way, yes. The person I traded with was like 'oh lol I don't have enough money' when I arrived in his town, and paid half the agreed price. I still sold the item because I wanted to get rid of it, but it was still pretty rude to do that in my opinion. Otherwise I find the community here to be really kind and generous, and I have done over a hundred trades with no issues. ^^

All my trades are done on TBT, and I have never been "scammed". I've had irresponsible and slow traders, but it's been mostly okay.

I have not been cheated. Then again, I have only done trades with Bell Tree Forums members; so, I haven't done trades with people from other sites. I think what helps is the Wi-Fi Ratings; that people don't want to have negatives for trades-gone-wrong that would badly reflect on trustworthiness.

Yes. On Gamefaq. I auctioned a villager, he promised me 16 million. I thought that was way too much for a villager, but I did need help finishing my house so I cut the price to 7 million. After he left, I realized he inter-mixed 99,000 bags with bags of smaller amounts to make it seem like there were a lot of bags. So I didn't get the full price even after I gave him a discount.
Once I let people come over and take all the normal flowers they wanted and someone snagged my pink cosmos :/. I didnt have any proof on the culprit tho and dislike confrontation... But needless to say they'll not be invited back.

I've never really been honestly cheated.
I know I felt a bit slighted when I was villager trading on here and the person could connect to my town to pick up their villager but we couldn't connect the second time so I couldnt pick up mine and it sucked. I know on FB I was cheated out of 5 million bells from a massive trade involving a villager and items, but I was too nervous to say anything to anyone because I was new to the group and didn't want to be banned. I don't think I've ever cheated anyone on here. I'm not good with numbers so I tend to over give bells just in case I messed up counting. I don't want to rip off anyone, ya know?

I've almost been cheated, but not on TBT. I was buying hybrids for a pretty expensive price, and there were some of his hybrids in the way of the hybrids that I was buying from him. I picked up my hybrids, said goodbye, and made my way to the station to leave. He told me that I trampled one of his hybrids, and I got furious because 1) I never run in towns, and 2) I KNEW I didn't trample it. He insisted that I did, so I let him come to my town so that I could repay him. When he got there, he said that I didn't trample it, and that he picked it up on accident. (????) He then asked if he could look around my town, and I said no since I couldn't trust him.

I'm glad most people have had good trades, I always make sure to throw in a few extra Bells and I even occasionally PM the people afterwards just to throw 'em some extra cash. (I never sell for anything besides TBT, cause I have a couple hundred million bucks)
