I was Time Traveling for a bit and started to think. I'm usually so cautious when TTing. But one little slip of the finger can cause you to press a wrong button... It hasn't happened to me, and I hope it never will. But I wonder how common it is to make a mistake and reset your town on accident? I hope it's not a very common mistake! D:

considering Isabelle also gives you a longish speech/warning and asks for confirmation, you really have to be paying no attention to do this

I haven't, yet. I would be so sad if I restarted my town by accident! But on my previous animal crossing game; wild world, I resetted my town like crazy and then I ended up abandoning my game for many years and just forgot

Oh my goodness, no, I'm way too paranoid about that stuff. Even when I made new characters to plot reset my villagers and had to later demolish their houses, I double checked many times to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong, lol.

i feel like it's too hard to accidentally reset your town, like what LambdaDelta was saying

I'd say it's almost impossible to "accidentally" reset your town since 1. Isabelle gives you a loooong speech about resetting the town and 2. The top choice is to NOT reset, so even if you were smashing the A button, you wouldn't be set to the resetting choice.

i've come very close during cycling, as sometimes i'll just keep tapping the screen without looking and realize i've clicked 'recreate the town' rather than change the time. it's terrifying, i'm not gonna lie D: but thankfully i haven't done it.

That would be difficult to do seeing how Isabelle gives you a long speech and asks you if you're really sure or not. But if that did happen to me, I'd be devastated.

No never. Isabelle warns you if you were to accidentally press on that button. So I don't think many people will make that mistake.

Almost once. I had an extra character that I was deleting and wasn't paying attention to what I selected, fortunately I caught it just in time. Now I'm super careful when I have to delete characters or change the time.

Unless you're just blindly B-passing everything Isabelle says I am pretty sure it'd be impossible to do so on accident. I have accidentally hit the year button when tt'ing only a few hours though and I was like "whuh..." Thankfully only one person moved... it was really weird!

No, of course not, and especially not 'thankfully'. It should be impossible to reset your town accidentally, since the yes and no options are switched up and you don't change your settings regularly anyway, so when you 'accidentally' go to the settings you would notice and go back to normally setting up your game. :/

Thanks to my stupid computer, which hung itself, I click the wrong choice in the poll...
(why would something like that happen to me "too many times"? *facepalm*)

Anyway: It never happen to me, when I reset my town, then because I wanted it so and
not accidentally...

Oh, look: one vote for 'too many times'. I'm sure that's a troll. :p
Well, that was my vote, but it was a mistake (I don't know, if you can change a vote in a poll?).
So it's not a troll! :p

I think this is the only way I might accidently reset. I would have to be really distracted, but I suppose it could happen.
