Just finished it the other day. I shamelessly participated in fossil giveaways and bought the last few because digging them up/assessing them is a major pain for me.

I finished mine a long time ago. It wasn't not that hard mainly because you can trade with other players.

I did recently actually! Now I'm just getting fossils assessed to finish the nook miles thing for it.

i completed it a while ago because my friends and i all shared our fossils and helped each other out!! i'm still happy to dig them up every day though!

I finished mine exactly 3 months ago, lol. I did get over half of mine on my own, though I ended up getting the rest through some friends and some trading on here.

yea really early on in the game. I thought it was rigged that you're more likely to get fossils you don't have but I guess I was just lucky

Without accepting any fossils I didn't dig myself, I completed the collection maybe 3 weeks ago.

Yep did it without trading. A good chunk of my fossils came from mystery islands from my island hopping addiction lol
I wasn't keeping track so was surprised when Blathers announced it

I finally completed it about a week or so ago. I had only 1 left to get for ages so I was in shock when Blathers finally told me I had something that was not part of the collection!

And after reading someone else's post on here, I've hidden all new fossils behind cliffs to stop them spawning every day

yep! completed it a month or so ago, though I did have to look for some missing pieces (2-3) on here and wouldn’t have been able to complete my museum’s fossil collection without trading.

I'm missing 1 and I refuse to go out of my way and trade for it. I told my boyfriend the one I'm looking for so he can keep an eye out, but other than that no trading lol

I can't remember what the it's called but it's the Aerodactyl left wing fossil lol

Yes, just collecting them daily eventually lead to completing the set. Now I just dig for nook miles.

I'm probably close to completing it. I just try as much to assess the fossils everyday and Blathers almost always say that the museum have them lol I don't keep track, to be honest. I'm too busy decorating my island inside and outside to bother completing something that doesn't do anything for my aesthetic. That will come naturally in time, I guess.

I completed mine without trading within like 2 or 3 months of having the game! I too was stuck on the last fossil for a while, but I did manage to find it eventually, so keep trying!
