Have anyone else been working on Hybrid gardens?

I've mostly been using my beach to breed hybrids. I've successfully grown a bunch of orange pansies, but I've had no luck getting blue roses. I suppose it might help if my flowers were a little bit more organized.

I would do this but hybrids are very annoying to get for me. I have like 15 black roses from trying to get blue roses.

I don't really make hybrid gardens, I just have them. Because one day, Winnie just planted a bunch of tulips in this spot, and that patch of flowers just grew and grew. Then it created hybrid tulips, which are now my favorite flowers, so I decided to make these little gardens of each kind of flower. They've all created quite a few hybrids. But I never really try to make certain hybrids, they just appear. So now my town is covered in flowers.

(In the middle of writing this, I accidentally pasted the whole Villager Trading Plaza page which I had accidentally copied earlier, and it took me longer to delete all of that than it did for me to write my post. *facepalm*)

I really like the black lilies. I've breeding quite a bit of blue roses for others so I don't have much for myself. I'm planning on doing a few beds of those and probably some gold and black roses.

I also made my first white carnation earlier today, hoping to make tons more pink, red, and white ones and have a few of those next to my paths!

I'm breeding a bunch of pink, blue, purple, and black flowers.

And this is a good place to ask, but does a hybrid x hybrid pair always produce more hybrids? Like purple pansies + purple pansies makes more purple pansies?

Most hybrid x hybrid pairs work, but a few do not. Hybrid reds in my experience mostly make non-hybrid reds, and 2 blue violets will only produce purple and white violets, but once a purple or white appears they can breed with the blue to make more blues. Some orange and black hybrids also don't, but most of the time 2 oranges can breed a black which in turn can breed oranges, and by that point I lost track of what my blacks were doing, but most black hybrids (tulips/roses and lilies) seem to always be able to produce whatever their parents were.
I also *think* pink cosmos are the same as blue violets as they took me forever and a day to get enough for my garden, but I haven't proved either way.

TL;DR: Hybrids are complicated, just blindly plant and hope. :P

Yes. It has been helped by the fact that 1 generous friend gave me 2 blue roses and a different one gave me 2 purple pansies. It makes it easier to breed more.

I've also gotten a bunch of pink (insert pretty much every flower) and purple roses on my own. I have a few other kinds too. I'm mostly working on trying to get more black cosmos flowers right now, but those seem to have a lower breeding rate than other things. I haven't gotten any black roses yet, but I'm trying.

Same with me, although I have been placing them in the right configuration (diamonds with space) I cant be bothered to look up color combos and such.

My pink and purple rose patches are FINALLY growing and picking up speed. I usually get at least one of each every day!
I also have quite a bit of pink tulips and a few orange tulips. I have a ton of pink cosmos just from random flowers all over the town. I am trying to breed my orange pansies and cosmos, only have a pair of each. I REALLY want purple pansies but don't have any yet.
I wish my beach was deeper! I have one deep area that has my roses, but the rest is pretty shallow.

I am still trying to work on my hybrids, I have been trying to make purple and orange roses but all that keeps growing is pink roses. I can manage to make orange and purple tulips without even trying but for the life of me I can't get them to grow as roses. I have managed to grow a few black tulips as well.
When and if I manage to get purple and orange roses the next thing I will be working on is getting blue roses.

Im working on orange roses, its my favorite color and they look the nicest in it.

Some black roses keep popping up next to them so im think ill have a nice garden for halloween XD

I've got a rainbow rose garden in the southeast of my town and I absolutely adore it. <3 Visit my dream town if you would like to see it. ^_^

the hybrids that Im trying to get are the only ones that aren't spawning in my town and it makes me very sad :((( I keep waking up to orange/pink flowers, which i dont mind, but i dont really have much use for pink flowers. Will probably sell them in the end.

I have 2 random rainbow flower paths, and I'm making a third around the cube sculpture. I have too many pink carnations, due to me trying to breed a few whites, but whatever. I was trying to make my town have mostly pinks anyway. I'm slowing down in breeding overall.

I'm starting to work on them again since I need some flowers around my town :P

I'm horrible at breeding hybrids. I guess I'm just doing everything wrong *shrugs*

I'm passively trying to breed pink roses for my pink-and-white path. I'm also lining my cliff with pink cosmos, but with that it's mostly "Oh, a pink cosmo? I'll pick it up and plant it whenever I get over there."
