Has this happened to anyone else?

Just now I went into Big Top's house and talked to him. First there was a blank screen of dialog, and then suddenly he's acting like I agreed to get signatures for a petition (which I'm not going to do).

This is a glitch, right? I googled it and didn't find much info, so I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else, or if someone knows what caused it.

Havent heard of this happening before nore has it happened to me...mabye you have a cursed cartridge from a creepypasta...i kid i kid lol. But id just sum it up to be a rare glitch

So an actual blank screen, or had you possibly said yes to the task without noticing?

I almost ALWAYS ignore what my villagers are saying, and constantly hit the B button, as I don't do tasks.

I know right? If I had heard someone else tell that story, I'd have a hard time believing it. But I just saw it happen...

No, I was definitely paying complete and full attention. The screen of dialog was blank, as if he was just pausing to think about something after I said "let's chat" or whatever. But the very next screen was him acting like I agreed to get signatures

I've actually had this happen to me once! It was weird, I definitely didn't agree to get signatures for the villager in question but the game decided otherwise

I have had something weird happen, only when diving and chasing something underwater.
It says 'software closed'.

It's happened twice.

Well..I had something like that happened in 2015 , I was talking to Marshal and instead of the text in the box..it was just blank.


The game didn't appear to be frozen because the characters were still moving, the sound of his stereo was still playing and I was able to take this in-game screenshot of it.
Nothing else happened, I was just locked from doing anything else so I just turned off the game.
So far it only happened once.

That's incredibly weird! Now I feel lucky that I was even able to get to the next screen of dialog. If this ever happens to me, I'll remember that I wasn't the only one
