for me it has, but only during my brief phase of messing around with my save file. it made the game a lot less fun and i didn't play again for months. maybe it broke my immersion, i'm not too sure

I got into plot resetting and cycling about two years after release, and yeah, that made it boring for me. It just felt like too much effort and too much time spent not actually playing the game but manipulating it into doing certain things I thought would increase my enjoyment of it. I wound up not playing for a couple years and then got back into it in 2018 and managed to play in that town for over a year, up until ACNH came out.

It does get boring as of now after playing too much last year, so I took a long break from NL and play again when I need to check on who’s moving out of my town or to do specific things. I still play NL as of now, but it’s not much as before.

Very boring...when the towns are finsihed. I go to sleep.
I fell asleep like 4 times to this game when I was playing it, I remember I was on my island doing tours to get more coins or whatever they were called and I just started closing my eyes and fell asleep during a tour.

Yes and I left New Leaf after it got very boring and went back to my older towns in the old AC games

I started to get a little bored after I felt like I had pretty much finished my first town, at least the design and landscaping part of it, the museum and most of the badges. That was when it really started to hit me how dull and monotonous the villager dialogue is in New Leaf. I feel like I could have played the GameCube version for ages and I never even bothered with landscaping, but just focused mostly on interacting with my villagers.

To keep playing, I bought a second copy and started up a new town with a completely different theme from my first town. But when I finish designing my second town, I'm probably going to quit New Leaf and either move on to New Horizons or go back to GameCube, depending on how interesting the villager interaction in New Horizons seems to be.

I adore this game, but I got very bored with it a bit ago when I was time traveling and plot resetting for a few hours to get Phoebe's house exactly where I wanted it. And I've placed some rather hideous patterns all over the place to prevent homes from landing there.

To keep myself entertained and into the game, I'm stopping myself from messing with time travel and will simply lay out a few areas for homes to be and hope that they land there. I've visited some more underdeveloped towns with all their trees up and no patterns littering the earth and it felt so refreshing. I loved the foresty, simple feel to it.

Maybe a small town center and then homes scattered throughout the land with a few benches here and there could be nice and make the game less about getting things to a dream town status.

a few times. once i’d been playing it for a few years and had pretty much everything unlocked/obtained, the game became pretty boring to me as i felt there wasn’t much else to do or experience ;u;

New leaf is almost never boring, when when I'm sitting right now playing new horizons I keep thinking about how much I miss new leaf and want to play again

Yes, I stopped playing in like 2016 and never looked back, especially after I got my Switch. I was just tired of New Leaf, the whole PWP system and the fake paths were not enjoyable for me to play with, and after finishing my layout it just felt lile there was nothing to look forward to anymore.

Yeah for the past year or two I mostly played just to check on villagers and do tasks for them. My town was complete and I had like 30 mil bells so it got to a point where it wasn’t that exciting. Mostly I just wanted to get on sometimes to hear the music and walk around. Something about a breeze coming in through my window at 10 am on a Sunday while hearing the 10 am music on the game was really nice.

It's hard to say if I got bored of it, because I did take some breaks but I feel like you get that with any video game? ex it's hard for me to get bored of older pokemons/zelda, but that doesn't mean I play them 24/7

I think I did get a little bored because my town was mainly finished, and I completed my fossils so there wasn't a lot to do except for seasonal fish/bugs and talking to villagers. I do enjoy revisiting NL from time to time, though!

A little bit, when I played a lot of it at one time. It was much more enjoyable for me if I took small breaks where I didn't play the game for a few days.

I remembered when I first got my Nintendo 3DS XL and New Leaf in 2013, I would play it everytime I was awake. When I got a chance to go to Japan, I would keep my 3DS on for streetpassing when I walked around. Checking the towns and items and DLCs were all entertaining and fun. I only stopped NL when I had to prepare for my senior year and university applications.

Never got back on until this pandemic and I had more time on my hand to go back to gaming, I saw people playing New Horizons and I missed Animal Crossing. I will not get the New Horizons knowing that after this pandemic and economies open up again, I will be spending less time gaming. Upon remembering my 3DS, I booted it up and logged into my game but I did not like the design of my town and resetted it without looking back.

I currently enjoy it because it's been so long since I last played it. Not time travelling let's you look forward to your trees and bushes growing the next day and hybrid flowers spawn are exciting. I like the new update where you can use the patterns to locate where the villagers will move into, something that I never had when I last played. Compared to New Horizons, using patterns as path seems outdated and imperfect. I don't mind the PWP mechanism in NL. Since I'm pretty mundane and can find enjoyment in the little things in life, New Leaf suits me fine but it does become boring and repetitive eventually

I did get bored when I did the same things every single day, especially during my time in high school. I only really had time to play during the lunch break so it was pretty much a routine thing.

I find if you time travel a lot and do all that you really can do it gets boring after a while. I dont play it as much as I used too.

time travlled so much that i lost loads of fav villagers, and it made me hate the game, tho it was entirely my fault!

I play animal crossing mainly to design a town (and house(s)) to my liking. Once that goal is complete, I feel like I'm "done" with the game. So yes, once I completed my NL town and saved the final version as a dream address (address in my sig lol) the game is boring to me, because there is nothing else for me to do. (except talk to my villagers, which is fun once in a while of course, but other than that there is nothing left for me in the game.)

I think I'm starting to get a bit bored with the game. I've pretty much maxxed out on public work projects and almost all of my home loans have been paid off. I'm still getting some bells and checking to see the furniture and eventually I might create a second character. I don't think I'd ever want to delete my town though.
