Has anyone realized that villagers don't eat fruit in front of you anymore?

When I give them fruit they don't eat it in front me. Instead they just store it in their pockets and say they'll eat ti later. How do i know if they actually eat it and not throw it away or let it rot in their fridges?

Yeah I loved the way the villagers reacted when you give them perfect fruit. Miss that.

I swear I've seen their mouths open when they sing... Hmm...

I miss this! They just put it away for later now. They also never ask me to get them fruit either. Only fish or bugs. In NL they would be constantly requesting fruit (thinking back it actually got a bit annoying).

Oh, they have mouths. But the mouths are flat animations on the models, there's nothing to open or really eat with. It's fine and very cute but eating animations are sleights of hand; the food just poofs.

Maybe they could turn around and eat it without us seeing it? With an excuse as of why they didn't want us to see, like Normals would be embarrassed to be seen with a dirty mouth, Snooties could say their makeup may be blurred, etc.

Yeah i keep finding it weird because they always eat it in nl. I thought it was funny and cute how fast they were ha! maybe this time they dont like fruit as much and dislike that we keep gifting it to them but they are too polite to complain XD

i noticed it a while ago and i definitely miss them eating ;w;
