Has anyone misspelled your name before?

My name, "Nicolas" gets misspelled as "Nicholas" more often than not.

And don't get me started on my surname.

Yes. I get Catherine and Katherine mostly.
Also people tend to call me Kaitlyn a lot because reading is hard.

My name is Cara. People usually spell it Kara, or misunderstand me and think it's Caran or Carol. I am bothered by Kara, but I understand why people would spell it that way. But Caran and Carol? Listen to me when I speak!

i dont understand how people could manage to misspell "Maya" into "Mia" or "Mya" when I clearly say, Maya as in the mayans.

Oh yeah, all the time. My first name has a bit of an odd spelling so people usually default to spelling it the "normal" way, which I've gotten used to by now. My last name's about as easy as it gets so no issues there. :lemon:

How do you mess up the spelling of Olivia?

i think there must be an infinite number of ways to spell my name. its been spelled wrong more times than it has right.

Yeah people always misspell my first (real) name with various stuff at the end lol.. Lol it's not anything special about it so how about just taking a look at it jeebus.

not my first name, as far as i can remember. but my last name is constantly getting misspelled or mispronounced, even though it's ridiculously easy and all you have to do is take five seconds to sound it out ._.

People always get the incorrect spelling of my surname too! It can get quite repetitive after having to correct them on numerous occasions.

It doesn't help that my parents gave me the uncommon spelling of my name, but people always ask whether it has two L's or one. Other times, they won't bother asking and use the common version. Though it used to bother me, I don't mind anymore.

Well nobody has ever misspelled my first name due to having a generic first name.

My last name, however, is frequently misspelled due to how immense it is in length. Hell, even the grading sheets at my school can't print out my full name without the letters having the appearance that implies that the paper has to be longer in order to put the full thing.

Most of the time, I forget my own middle name due to the fact that i find it fairly irrelevant.

Oh heck yeah, people mispell my name all the time! It's not helped that people very rarely know how to say my name properly to begin with. I'm always very impressed if somebody says my name right, let alone spells it right too.

People misspell "Yuu" as "Yu" and "You" and both annoy me. Yu is a little more understandable given how JP-ENG translation tends to work, but "You" is a friggin' pronoun...

mine's melissa, people either usually spell it as mellissa, mellisa or melisa. every person that i've ran across couldn't spell it on the first try without asking me how to haha.

My name is pretty common around here and is quite a common name but it's quite shocking to see how many people have spelt it wrong. My name is Rebecca, and some have spelt it like Rebbecca with two b's which is the most common mistake people make when spelling my name, personally to me it really doesn't look like it could ever have two b's but apparently it does to other people. Or Rebeca with one c which is fair enough because my name is spelt with one c in countries like Brazil and Portugal. Most of the time they always ask me one b or two c's? LOL. Also, starbucks really butchered my name one time. They gave it a whole new meaning.

my name is one of the uncommon name where I live (thanks mom), so almost everyone misspelled my name, I live with it :'D

Considering my name is Emily you would think not. But I've gotten variations such as Emilee and Emaily before.
