Has anyone misspelled your name before?

My name gets misspelled all the time. Just about everyone gets it wrong on the first try. Usually they're off by a letter or two, but some people call me an entirely different name somehow. It doesn't bother me. I need a nickname or something, though

all the time.

Kristina
Krystina
Christina
Christyna
Crystina

I don't mind when it happens though, got kinda used to it.

My name is always misspelled.
I'm called Catherine and I don't really think that it's that hard to spell but people spell it really weird sometimes.

YES. ALL THE FREAKIN TIME.

tbh my name gets misspelled so often that i'm always genuinely surprised whenever somebody outside my family actually gets it right. i've completely given up on correcting anyone everyone whenever they get it wrong.

what's made it even more annoying is that it's actually a fairly common name, just spelled differently to how it's usually spelled.

I agree, nicknames are easier to remember! Most people call me by my nickname even though I don't have much of a long and complicated name. :)

What is your name? :D

Oh yeah, all the time. My first name has a bit of an odd spelling so people usually default to spelling it the "normal" way, which I've gotten used to by now. My last name's about as easy as it gets so no issues there. :lemon:

Yeah, on the reg. My name is Javier, but you wouldn't believe how many times I've gotten Javiar or Havier. The worst mispelling would have to go to that one time at Starbucks a few weeks ago. I got my iced coffee and it said "Juvia" like I said my name clear and loud how do you botch it so bad? I can't even fathom. Don't even get me started on my username.

mine does. it's daniella.

they mostly forget to put two i's not that bad tbh but still a misspell

Not really. I talk quietly and kinda unclearly though so a lot of people mishear it as joe or john (my name's Joan) when they first meet me. And some people have read it as Joanne

You know, it makes me wonder. Do employees at Starbucks mispell people's names on their coffee cups on purpose?

Most people mix Christine and Christina, and they spell my name Kristy on Starbucks cups, which I have no idea why.

My name is Megan and there are dozens of ways to spell that name so yes, I have had many people spell my name wrong. XP

Yes, my name's probably not very common so they either mispronounce or misspell it almost every time. Even when I spell it out for them, they'll put "B" instead of "V". They'd also say "Viviana", "Vivian", or even "Briana" or "Rihanna" lmao

Yeah. Some do not even dare to attempt pronouncing my name and just call me by my easier to pronounce family name.
I often get mistakingly addressed as 'Mr' in mail replies... What the heck is masculine about Yuyeon
