Has anyone found the lamp to summon Wisp - and use amiibo cards?

I just did!
The general consensus seems to be: you have to skip to the next day after installing the update to find wisp. Wander around the town until a speech bubble appears.
I set the lamp down in my house, used it, and put down my kapp'n amiibo card. I asked for an item and got his picture. I also received 5 MEOW coupons.
Looks like you can just keep the lantern in your house and it'll grant one wish per day? Though I'm not sure on this.

I timeskipped with no regrets.... I wanted to see if the special visitor changes/harvey's stock changes each day, and they do!! So far, I've found Nat and Booker...
