Has anyone else noticed this before?

I was building Tutu's home in HHP and noticed that when I put down some ''creepy'' items like graves, skeletons and decayed trees she would react with a happy emote... I found it funny and weird but didn't see anyone else talking about this.

When you put down items they really like they'll either clap or get an exclamation emote over their heads. If they really like the walls and flooring you choose they look up and grin really big. I've noticed with part of them the items chosen for their theme are not their favorites so I can't figure out why they were even picked. I'll go ahead and put in whatever items are required but everything else I try to get from things that make them happy, not that it makes any difference to the DLC but I prefer to do it that way.

ETA: There are also items they kind of like and for those they'll usually give a nod or a smile.
