I decided to ask the question because I've been so unlucky all day long resetting for the perfect town layout.

I spent hours trying to get a certain villager in boxes and he is just so ... stubborn. That I gave up for the day.

I resetted for 3 days. And then wasn't even happy with the layout I settled with. So glad that those times are over, my current town is a forever town ans as perfect as can be (to me).

I got a new copy from the flea market and now I'm stuck resetting for the next few months. :rolleyes:

i got one really unlucky case here. months ago i wanted blanche as my 10th villager but to get her, i have to move erik out. i got erik in boxes and got him a buyer and so she came over to my town without her void cleared. i proceeded to time travel to the next day right after she got erik and i when was just running around town, i saw a plot! i was so shocked and decided to check who was it. you wanna know who was it? it was blanche! her plot was beside my house and it was bad spot! and my goal to get blanche as my 10th just vanished like that and im too lazy to get her back through the 16 villagers cycle.

I reseted my town loads of times just to find a map that had a bridge right in the center, and space for villager houses along the fence.

It took me over 30 tries to place Bam. It would've been more, but I decided to just stick with his current place because it was good enough. I wanted his house to be along the fence, like Diana's and Deirdre's, but he refused and instead moved near the bridge ;-;

I think that's all my recent town bad luck..

I don't know what was going through my mind when I was resetting for layouts, because I remember that this was in my list of criteria;
- open space that allows two houses and a vertical path
- Re-Tail in top acre, easily accessible from station
- also not have a dumb location for Re-Tail's pond
- also have as few ponds as possible (i'm sorry i think it's pretty to just have one ;_; )
- station and hall rocks not obscuring the direct south, as well as rocks in front of potential bridges
- diagonal waterfall (i'm not sorry)
- either cherries or apples as local fruit
- idk man

is it surprising that it took two weeks? Many times I got good layouts, but the town fruit was off and I'd reset anyway...

But hey! I got Whitney packaged with the resulting town layout. I'd say that was pretty good. Then again, I also missed out on Tia and Bob... *sigh*
