With today being Earth Day, I've been thinking more about the things I can do to make a difference, small or large. So I thought it might be nice to have a place to ask questions and share best practices.

What are some of the ways you or your household contribute to helping the planet? Which ones do you believe have the most impact?

I noticed an ad last night for a product called Swedish Dishcloths which can be used in place of paper towels or sponges. They're made from wood pulp and cotton, reuseable, and biodegradable. They're supposed to last a very long time, like up to a year. They're even machine washable. I'm curious if anyone has experience with these. I'm thinking about buying them to replace paper towels for mopping up spills and drying dishes and countertops. Any thoughts?

I know what you are referring to but I haven't tried them myself. If you do end up trying them let me know!

Our government is rolling out green bins for food waste. It's already a big thing in parts of Europe I believe, but it's taken the west a while to get on board. I personally really like it because you throw food waste out in biodegradable bags; saves on plastic and your bin doesn't get so smelly :D Not everyone here in into though, which is a shame :c
