I'm just curious to know if anybody has done this already? I'm contemplating on resetting mine simply because I really messed things up with terraforming and I'm just so lost now lol.

No but I’ve considered it a few times. If I had roses as one of my hybrid island flowers (which i think is determined at save creation based on your three native flowers) I would have an easier time getting blue roses.

I decided I’d be better of waiting until I get a second switch at some point. I do want to terraform my island quite allot and might not be able to do it justice but with time and effort I’m sure I’ll get the desired result and even if your not happy currently with what you have all restarting will do is slow your progress further, you’ll have to wait to unlock terraforming again and if you end up in a similar situation with it it was all for nothing.

Plus from experience it’s never quite the same if I were to restart I’d feel bad anytime I thought about my first save and it would probably put me off playing.

Personally, I wouldn't reset my island because I've already come so far (collecting items, fish, fossils, buildings, etc.) and since I don't time travel, it would take me another 2 weeks to get back where I was. Plus I wouldn't have my bunny day and Sakura diys until next year if I reset.

Plus the seasonal fish and emperor butterfly from April.

I've never thought about it. Going to deep in the game to waste it all away haha

I have really shaped this land into my own by now. Would not want to see it go down the drain!

I reset on March 27 (Day 5) with 35 hours into the game. Best decision I ever made. Now my island is literally perfect!

Yes, I've resetted my island because now I have a better understanding of the map layout, know which river outlets and secret beach location I can better work with and I really regretted my native fruit choice. I'm also looking forward to landscape with my island's initial design in mind and to not change every corner to turn it into something I can't work with. But on the other hand if you're fine with your river outlets, your rocks' designs and your secret beach location (and even your native fruit and airport color), then personally I see no point in resetting.

I haven't resetted but I've terraformed so much to the point where it feels like a new island that I've reset to get lol. I feel like this will take some getting used to.

Terraforming is a 2-way road though, how do you mess it up? Restarting would take way more time than just fixing your terraforming with more terraforming.
