Has AC ruined other games for you?

I tend to stick to one game at a time and play it pretty hard and as an "endless" game AC kinda does suck you in, huh? Yeah I would say it does ruin other games a little bit. Or maybe there's nothing out there right now I'm interested in enough to take me away from AC?

Usually I get into playing only one game at a time xD.. when I was taking a break from AC for a few months last summer I was playing Harvest Moon: New beginning, Rune Factory 4 and Fantasy Life. Then I am back to playing only NL now >_<;
I might play NL less when new Story of Seasons come out.. =P

Before New Leaf came out I pretty much played DragonVale and The Simpsons: Tapped Out on my iPad and barely touched my 3DS. Then I started playing New Leaf and was pretty much hooked. So much so that I completely dropped the iOS games.

It also had to the do with the fact that DragonVale was beginning to frustrate me with the constant flood of new dragons, and Tapped Out was getting boring to me.

I don't play New Leaf as much as I used to now (my play time greatly decreased after 1 full year), but I thank the game for making me pick up my 3DS again.

ACNL comes first. Got Disney Magical World in August and spend time playing after ACNL was done.
It's quick to get 100 stickers but for the collector I still have to find all the Easter items. Than the game will be complete.
DMW is a game that you pick up when you want to play.
Some nights I'll play Mario Kart, Smash Bro, or Mario World on the Wii U. A few races, fights or a level gives me a nice break.
Also play a Puzzle World and complete 2 to 5 puzzle each night. Something quick again.

Kinda. I have bayonetta 2 just sitting there. And I only played super smash for a few days and haven't really touched it.

I switch between Alpha Sapphire and New Leaf. I have periods where I'm obsessed with just the one, and then I have others where I can't put down the other. I feel bad about the fact that I've completely neglected Pokemon X, though. The fact that I beat the game shouldn't mean that I can't play it anymore. I guess I could get back to shiny hunting or working on my competitive team...

That's how I was. Before animal crossing I was nonstop Pokemon. I had a good competitive team on X that I spent two months perfectly training for stats and IVs, then I got AC and everything about Pokemon just kind of...disappeared. I beat Ruby just to beat it, didn't even finish the Delta Episode, and went right back to AC. I really miss Pokemon too, I miss battling and hunting shinies and making good teams.

I got really excited when I saw Fire Emblem and I wanted to play it so badly and I ordered it. I was so excited when it got here and I just kept putting it off over and over again and I still haven't touched it. I'm still excited to play it but I can't seem to pull myself away from AC long enough to play it.

I put down my AC game for about 10 months because I was so addicted to it and just recently picked it back up. None of my deamies moved away so I pretty much instantly got back into it and haven't put it down since. I haven't even touched Pokemon Alpha Sapphire or any of my console game in weeks. ;w;

My Bravely Default is calling. But it has to wait, I got to repay my loans and get my paths done. ;-;

Because of Animal Crossing, I never beat Pokemon OR or even got to the legendary in the game. Same with Kid Icarus Uprising.

Kind of, I go through phases with games!
When I first got New Leaf, I played it endlessly, ignoring all other games for a long time. Then I started to get bored with it, so picked up some other games and started playing them again.
There's a few games that catch my attention more - for example, when Pokemon ORAS came out, I was literally just leaping on AC for a few minutes to check if anyone wanted to leave, then devoting more time to Pokemon - I did the same with Super Smash and a couple of other games too. Now, I just got Fire Emblem Awakening, but I tend to play that more at night, so if I have time during the day I'll pick up AC and do stuff on that.
So basically, yeah, sometimes if I get into an AC frenzy, it can ruin other games for me, but most of the time it's not a problem :)

I used to play all kinds of different games, but once I joined tbt it was all AC:NL for me.

I've never been a hardcore gamer anyway and since finding Animal Crossing I've only occasionally dabbled with other games, usually I don't get very far before the pull of AC draws me back in... (it was WW, WW ruined me)
The only version I haven't had multiple towns in was CF because I simply can't justify having 2 of the same tv console.
I've played other games here and there since the obsession started, but the only other one with any lasting power was the Sims. Everything else I bore of quickly. I always thought maybe if my husband also played video games and we could play together I'd play other games more, but as it stands... its just me and I prefer AC, and likely always will.

*nods* This is generally how I play games, read books, and watch TV. I do play other games here and there aside from AC, but right now there isn't anything out there that interests me enough to pick up and play. I've played all the other games that I wanted to, at least for now.

I didn't get really pulled into New Leaf until about a month after getting it. I got Tomodachi Life and played that some every day along with New Leaf. but I'm so pulled in and have been putting so much time into New Leaf that I haven't been entirely in the mood for Tomodachi Life. and I haven't even really done that much with Tomodachi Life, either. I just. meh. then sometimes I feel sad because I haven't wanted to play it. ah well. it hasn't really ruined other games for me, I just don't really have much else to play. I want more 3DS games, but I'll be waiting a while to get any. we'll see what happens then... lol

Yeah. I was in the middle of playing pokemon ORAS..then I was idiotically like haha haven't played animal crossing in awhile, might as well get off pokemon and waste hours picking weeds and ripping out dead flowers. One thing lead to another and I got back into my addiction with animal crossing..the thing is that it's been so long since I've touched pokemon, I forgot where I left off so I'm too lazy to even get back on pokemon and spend more hours figuring out what to do

Lol i had that with the legend of zelda twilight princess once so actually it did ruin a game for me yes haha!

I've been trying to still play skyrim regularly, but it's so much easier to just slide into bed with my 3ds than go out in my living room and have to sit on a couch, I mean who has time for that? I also have several other 3DS games that don't get touched. Tomodatchi, Art Academy, SSB4, Plants VS Zombies, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Pokemon X... those poor games...

Not really, mostly because when I play ACNL, I usually take a break from it and play something else.

That's mostly because the game gets really REALLY boring after awhile.
It's no wonder why a lot of people stopped playing the game after the summer of 2013.
