Has AC ruined other games for you?

Not really, mostly because when I play ACNL, I usually take a break from it and play something else.

That's mostly because the game gets really REALLY boring after awhile.
It's no wonder why a lot of people stopped playing the game after the summer of 2013.

Hahah that is exactly what i think about it too but when i get back into it i realise that there actually was a lot to do what i did not do last time i played it xD

I mean now i have been touring every now and then but i actually never did that last time.

Animal Crossing is totally a way of life for me ahha. I play other games, including playing Pokemon pretty religiously, but Animal Crossing has a reason to play every day, and never really "ends." If I'm playing other games, I'll often find myself thinking, Hmm, I wish this was more like Animal Crossing. The only time that I'll take extended breaks from animal crossing is when I get a new game, and I'll binge on that until I finish it, but I'll always go back to Animal Crossing!

Right now, I'm actually juggling both of my New Leaf towns with Tomodachi Life, another life simulation game and also another first party Nintendo game.

well uh. i have ocarina of time and alpha sapphire for my 3ds too and i only finished ocarina of time because it was summer vacation, i was away from home and had a ton of time to play every day. now, when i'm home, i only really play animal crossing. i should play alpha sapphire, it's a really nice game and i love it, but i'm not very good and animal crossing us so much fun that i just don't pick it up. i will definitely play it sometime again, but i really don't play often when i have school and everything...

I go in bursts between New Leaf and Fantasy Life. When I'm on a Fantasy Life kick the only reason I visit AC is to check on my villagers and check the shops for any goodies. When I'm on an Animal Crossing kick I completely shut out most other games. Then again there aren't many other games that interest me in general so these are my fallbacks

lol yes, so much so my fellow gaming friends are really starting to dislike Animal Crossing..tho Pokemon is keeping strong because I love breeding mons for competitive reasons and so on..Bravely Default and Majora's Mask I just abandoned atm and I wish I didn't. My PS4 tho has started giving me a lot more reasons to play on it, so that's good, because then I don't play AC to the point of sickening myself of it for life.

EDIT: Oops didn't realise this was an old thread.

I recently purchased Majora's Mask 3DS. But I rarely play it, since AC has taken over my life basically.

Lol this definitely happened to me when I started playing. AC was the ONLY game I played for months. I thought, 'maybe I should play something else,' but then I was like nahhhhh. But then I played too much AC and so I started playing other games. It'll wear off and you'll need a break and then you'll get back to obsessing xD

At first I thought "Nah, it didn't."

But then I realized that AC is the only game I have for the 3DS and all of my other consoles are boxed up and put away. This is partly due to the fact that my TV is kind of messed up.

So I guess the answer is, yes.

I don't have any other games for my 3DS except for some old DS lite cartridges so I've been playing ac a lot lately since it's so easy to reach to cause the 3ds is such an easy pick up put down console.
As for non 3ds consoles it hasn't really affected the other games for me since they're very different types of games that I like for different reasons

It's sort of like the sims for me, I'll have bursts of playing acnl and acnl only then put it down for a while or check back every so often throughout the week/month, y'know?

I have stopped playing other games but AC certainly hasn't ruined them for me. I also view AC as different to my other "games", they fulfil two different sets of satisfaction for me. If I really feel like gaming I'll pick up Skyrim, if I feel like casual relaxation I'll pick up AC - but yes I do admit AC has dominated my console life for a couple of years now - I'd even name it as the downfall of gaming as I know it (meaning I no longer play the games I used to play, I haven't even picked up ffx remastered yet and that's insane!)

Eh, I'm not too huge on gaming (even though I really want to be) so I wouldn't say so. I don't really play 3DS games all that often, save for when new Pokemon games come out, and I still find time to play other games on the PC too. It definitely occupies most of my video game time though, but it's not like I'm incapable of playing other games.

Though, since I got my new (Not brand-name New) 3DS, it and Wild World are the only two games that I've played on it...
