Diana gave me such a scare a few minutes ago ;__; I talked to Kitty, and she told me Diana was thinking of moving...!!!! gosh i ran to my bby so fast and immediately talked her out of it! whew, crisis avoided :-(

have any dreamies ever moved away before you got the chance to talk them out of it? if so, who?

None of mine have ever moved away, since I always talk them out of it. However, I reset my town yesterday so I don't have Stitches anymore :(.

In a past town, yes. I stopped playing for a while, and when I returned Filbert had moved away. That was rough for me.

Lost many times villagers I really liked, mostly because I missed the chances to stop them.
Kinda sucks when you just got your dreamie and then you get an not expected move-in and
a few days later your favorite wants to move out out of nowhere because of this. I tried to
look often if someone I would like to keep longer in my town wanted to leave.

I've never had a dreamie move out but I've had them move into a Very Unacceptable Spot so I had to kick them out. :/

I don't think I've ever had one truly move out without my knowledge. I had to let both Mitzi and Punchy move out recently, but I scanned Mitzi back in almost immediately and I've been using amiibo cards to speed up the cycle so I can get Punchy back. I wanted to put their houses in better spots.

Luckily, no. Although, I really only have one dreamie (Grizzly) and I have his amiibo card. But I play daily and make sure to talk to all my villagers daily, so I'm always able to stop a villager from moving if I don't want them to go.

So far I've been lucky enough that all my dreamies have stayed. But there's been a few times where they've wanted to move! Like no sorry, you're staying here haha. Yesterday Zucker said he wanted to move, but of course I didn't let him :p

before the welcome amiibo update i had lots move away due to inactivity, time traveling, or they just didn't tell me. im thankful that they can't move out as easily anymore

Mira. She really wanted to leave my town. The first time she left was when I restarted. And the second was when nobody told me she was moving. I replaced her with Cherry, but she didn’t work well enough.

I got Mira back, though.

In my very first town Kenka I remember Maple moved away after a long period of inactivity. I thought I would just risk it and open my game without TTing backwards, but I wasn’t so lucky :< Kenka’s landscaping was “complete” at that point and I became unmotivated to play because plot resetting was too troublesome (this was before the update). I haven’t made a mistake like that since, especially in my main town because I’m attached to all my villagers and that town has zero QR patterns for plot resetting, everything is natural dirt paths. Honestly, the most annoying part for me about losing a villager is thinking about how annoying it will be to force a villager to move back into a favorable spot in town -_-

In New Leaf, fortunately no! The closest I ever came to a preferred villager was Lolly with three days left, it was a little scary but I did know she wanted to move. I don't know why I just didn't keep saving and quitting to get the prompt; maybe I thought she had more days?

Anyhow, I've sadly lost Kiki in my second GameCube file. I tried very hard to get her not to move, but it happened. :( I forget how exactly moving works in that game friendship wise, so I probably ended up making it worse at the time.

I always keep a close eye on my villagers now that I have all the ones I prefer, as I'm sort of going through the days fast to catch up!

Oh my god yes today I accidentally moved chief out :( I'm still upset about It! Grr

Not move out precisely , but hamphrey just moved into my new town before I was able to set him up properly, to say I?m devastated is putting it mildly. Now I have to go buy myself his card in order to kick him out and place him properly. It?s heart breaking to have to move him out and maybe have to do the 16 villager cycle if I don?t end up buying the card.
