Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns, opinions?

Any opinions about the game?

My niece wants a harvest moon game for her birthday. But since she's 11, I decided to buy her a simple HM games. Not SoS or ANB definitely because it's a little bit too much for her I guess. I watched some gameplay video on youtube but would like to hear more opinions from people here Feel free to comments and give me another suggestions and input.

I tried it on emulator and kinda liked a lot... but thing is farm games aren't my cup of tea, so I didn't get very far. That said, I honestly liked the style, graphics, maps, people and etc. So yes, the game itself is very good

I remember it being pretty easy and not requiring advance planning or complex farming, so it should be ok for your niece!

I personally enjoyed it enough to keep playing until I finished the story and got married. The two towns settings add variation but it makes things a bit more troubling to travel between the towns, I had to clear the game ASAP just so I can seamlessly travel and not waste time. The animals are cute and I think your niece will have fun raising the pets, they're adorable! As for the characters, they are interesting but personally not memorable enough for me.

All in all, while it doesn't do better than it's predecessor, it's still an enjoyable HM game that won't be too hard to play Travelling between towns might frustrate your niece though, so I suggest telling her to pick which town based on which characters she likes most. She could always switch though, iirc.
