Harvest Moon will return to home consoles and for the first time PC and iOS with Harvest Moon : Seeds of Memories. I'm a bit apprehensive because it's not Margelous who's developping the game but Natsume. Their first try was with Harvest Moon: the Lost Valley which turned out to be... well... underwhelming. Natsume says stay tuned for E3.

Harvest Moin hehehe you can edit the title yourself if you choose "go advanced" when you edit your post
but HM on Wii U hell yeah

I feel the same way, the lost valley wasn't the best game they ever put out there and if I'm going to get this one I would like to see significant improvement in a lot of areas. But I have to say no game by them is worse than Hometown Story. The concept is great but it was just a game that was not worth the price.

EDIT : Can a mod edit the title of this thread please?

do you have a link of proof or anything or are you just guessing

also the only games worth playing imo are the main console games anyway. ds versions and above sucked

We need cute little Harvest Moon character amiibo. I would like a Harvest Goddess amiibo that you can scan to have all the crops on your farm be picked by the Harvest Sprites.

I heard about this just today from another user here, but I'm... skeptical. Natsume is running it, and Lost Valley was not something I would consider a good Harvest Moon game, to say the least.

At this point, I'm also not very hyped on the idea of "going back to basics". I would hope that they keep moving forward with new ideas instead of going back. I feel like HM is a series that could really use some fresh and new ideas to bring in new players and appeal to broader audiences. The basics have always, always been a core part of the HM games, regardless. The page I read about it talked about things like farming and raising cows, which... you do in every HM game. I haven't seen one where you haven't.

Info from here: http://nintendoeverything.com/harvest-moon-seed-of-memories-announced-for-wii-u/

I reserve judgement until they give a preview of it at E3, which is apparently going to happen.

I thought the recent Harvest Moon by Natsume was a fake harvest moon lol

It wasn't the true successor title, no. Natsume went their own route and had the rights to the Harvest Moon trademark name, so they used it, despite the game not looking like an HM game at all. The one that did follow in the tracks of the series is XSeed's Story of Seasons.

Hmm... I've never played Harvest Moon before, but it always looked interesting to me. I was thinking about picking up some of the older titles to see how I like them. Then when I heard about this I was wondering if this one would be good as well, but judging by the comments here about who's running the show this time I'm not too sure if I'll get this one.

The biggest surprise for me was that it's going on PC. Do people even MAKE PC games anymore?!

Lmao my sister and I were just talking about how we'd love a harvest moon for the Wii U, seeing as there hasn't been a console harvest moon since '09. I'm disappointed it's not marvelous entertainment that's developing the game.

I'll be pissed if they over simplify the game. I don't want to go back to just having a few different kinds of crops each season and a couple different animals. Keep the vast variety of stuff that story of seasons had but add more of a story line and I'm a happy camper. :lemon:

Natsume announced it via their Twitter account. Then the news sites and Nintendo blogs are following suite : http://wiiudaily.com/2015/06/harves...al&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

considering its harvest moon it will probably be trash but we'll have to wait and see

Harvest Moon is one of my guilty pleasures. I hope this one is good but I'll probably give it a try regardless of the reviews.

I can say I don`t expect much, I can say I hope it will be in the same line of quality as A Wonderful Life.....

Only thing I can say with certainty is that I`ll end up buying it.

While it's really exciting to see one for the Wii U, I am terrified to see what Natsume will be doing with it this time. :v

I will watch cautiously from a distance to see if they ever improve, and I do hope that they do! ...but I also doubt it, and I don't think I'll be buying Harvest Moon titles anymore.

these are exactly my thoughts

if it isn't bokujo, it isn't worth my money

Anyway, I am sad. I wanted Hometown Story to be good so bad, but it was so bad, it drove me away from Natsume for good.

LV was terrible!! One of the worst games to date.. There was so much potential to make something amazing, and it bombed.. I guess it's an okay game in its own right, but as a HV moon game.. no.. SOS on the other hand I love.. Maybe Xseed will come out with a SOS follow up on wii u

Im the same way, I always have to play it myself.. whether the reviews are amazing or terrible..

Same tbh. I don't think I want to support Natsume either, since their producing games under the name "Harvest Moon" just feels like they're trying to profit off of some people's ignorance of the switch/ the name.

When I first heard about it, it took me a moment to remember the switch, and I thought Marvelous was releasing another Bokujou game, even though SoS still hasn't been released in Europe and Austrlia, lol.

Does anyone else think the fact that they're making it for multiple consoles makes it sound like it will be even worse than their previous games, though? Honestly, the combination of systems sounds weird. Plus, if they keep the art style from TLV, there's no way I'm buying it, I just don't like the way the characters looked.
