Whilst animal crossing has evolved quite a lot, I wonder if harvest moon has evolved a lot?

Do you guys think it's worth to buy the titles for the 3ds I just bought a 3ds and at the moment I do have:
Super smash brothers
Monster hunter tri (I got it for free with a nintendo promoton
Pokemon Y
Animals crossing: new leaf.

I am still wanting to buy
Zelda 3d
Zelda two swords
Mario land 3d

- I am conscidering but not sure:
Fantasy life
A Jprpg
Mario kart 8 (or was it 7?)
Luigi mansion
Harvest moon.
Some other game I have not looked at yet.

Are there any advices?

Since you're a fan of Harvest Moon and JRPG, I HIGHLY recommend getting Rune Factory 4. It has fun gameplay, variation in dialogue, a deep story, crafting, cooking, and a lot of other things to do. I have 100+ hours even though I rushed things, which shows how absorbed I am with this game. Seriously, you should get it.

Harvest moon a new beginning I own and it's good but don't get harvest moon the lost valley that game is not good in the slightest

I did not like rune factory for the regular ds but I will take a look at it thanks a lot Ayaya!

Thanks I will have a look at it. :)

Never got into luigis mansion. Saving was annoying

Lost Valley is actually straight up amazing and I love it. While there are not many marriage choices in lost valley, I never played it for that reason (I can't marry a chick with my chick character so lol why care) However you can have kids in lost valley. You couldn't before. :O

I also suggest old school games. Cheap, fun. I'm gonna buy super mario world next.

Thanks for the sugesstion, also good luck in Germany I live in the Netherlands very close to Germany. I buy my beer there! Muahahaa.....

harvest moon games always had that unpolished feel ever since the ds games

Loved it on the gamecube but at one point your just making money and there is no interaction and nothing to do. I love the concept of the game but not enough to do often. Animal crossing seems nice now you can be the mayor etc.. Aah well..

Harvest Moon A New Beginning also gives you extra options to edit stuff all around the town. I must say I have stopped playing Animal Crossing, because while playing it simultaniously with Harvest Moon, it felt slow and crude. Check the reviews for A New Beginning. Preferably maybe avideo review or clip of gameplay on youtube?

In my opinion, the best 3DS game is Kid Icarus Uprising. You should get it. But, a good Jrpg is Fire Emblem awakening.

I second the RF4 recommendation, that game is great. And I also have HM: A New Beginning and like it, but if I were you I might wait for "Story of Seasons", it seems to be an improved version (like ToT - AP).

I also have Fantasy Life, I'm about 60 hours in and I have really been enjoying it! There is a lot to do, but has a lot of fetch quests so it depends on how you feel about a "request" kind of system (personally I love it, and the monster requests, but not for everyone I suppose). The storyline is... probably the one downside in my opinion. It's nice and cute, but it doesn't require any skill, it's mostly just reading through a ton of text. But you can choose how fast you want to go through it, so that's nice. I spread it out a bit because it's not very long. It's not bad or anything, just kind of... disconnected from the rest of the game?

I don't have any of the other games you mentioned, but just my two cents on the ones I own. I've also played some of the older DS HM games, the only one I still really enjoy is Sunshine Islands. But the weather + crop system can be very frustrating, tbh. Otherwise it's a great game but it really does drive some people crazy.

Good luck deciding!
