okay i played me3 today and.. ijust want the next mass effect game to come out already

Yeah okay ME3 wasn't the best writing... DA2 was **** too... Bioware was just having a daaaark time. Bioware got my hopes back up in DAI (especially with the Trespasser dlc, fantastic writing) and I'm really hoping the next ME game is good.

I don't really understand what's going on in the new game.. it's a new galaxy, but with humans? Alternate universes??? Maybe it's going with the Destroy ending from ME3. Idk.

I'm gonna miss Garrus, Liara, and Miranda though...

I personally think the "fact" of Mass Effect 3 being "bad" is really nonsense. It's actually a great game overall. Just because the ending was meh doesn't discount the fact that the rest of the game was fantastic.

What I've heard for Mass Effect Andromeda is you are supposed to be exploring the galaxy to find a new home for humanity and it's supposed to be hundreds of years after ME3. If that's really true, no one should be alive from the original ME trilogy except maybe EDI and/or Legion.

Though, what ending would that be? Like, if it was the Destroy ending I don't think EDI/Legion would be alive. If it was the Synthetic ending I don't think there would be a need to find a new home, same for the Control ending. They wouldn't be humans anyway in the Synthetic ending, and the Control ending is really just giving into the reapers.

I agree, the game's great, the endings just feel lackluster. I felt like they could've done something with the dark energy **** in ME2 but they kind of just forgot about it. Perhaps that's why they're trying to find a new home for humanity?

The ending to three sucked, but overall the series was fun. Though honestly the endings just completely turned me off from the series to begin with.

For me the character development also felt forced. And the fact that a lot of characters in ME3 were roided out of their eyeballs. And that they put characters of different sexualities in there because they felt it would add to their character, but instead their sexuality became their character (which is especially the case with James).

The first Mass Effect was a great game and showed a lot of promise. There were some changes to gameplay in Mass Effect 2 that I didn't like but it was easy to look past those because the writing was still great. With ME3 they just went pants-on-head and wrote the story like a bunch of monkeys, even ignoring a lot of lore they established in the first two. The ending is awful but it's not the only thing in that game's story they messed up.
