Happy Home Deaigner Transfers Catalog? True or False?

So I was watching Chuggaconroy's let's play of ACNL:WA
So, when he transfered his HHA data, he claimsd to not have an item, then have it after transfering data. This begs the question: does your HHA catalog transfer to your NL catalog? Does anybody here know, or have tested?(or even can test it?) It would be awesome if it did ^_^
Ps. Do you really remove and insert the HHA/NL game card during data transfer?

I believe it does. And yes, you have to remove and insert each card when prompted. It won't harm the system unless you take it out during the actual transfer.

Yes and no. Some items transfer, specifically the giant 20 dlc items. In New Leaf, these items are the only ones that become part of the special HHD portion of the catalog, and they also happen to be the only HHD items that are orderable. As for the rest of the HHD catalog, they don't transfer like the giant 20 ones do. Instead those are accessed by using the WA amiibo cards, or (in some cases) visiting Harvey's shop, and they're all unorderable when they're listed in the regular NL catalog.

Aw man. I was hoping to fill my catalog by transfering data :/

I’ve done the data transfer, and it unlocks the giant items- a new tab is added to your catalog where you can order them anytime Those are the only items you get, though ^^;

Yup! The expanded NL catalog is the same as most of the HHD catalog (minus the stuff like rugs and ceiling items). But only the giant items are orderable, everything else isn't, unfortunately.
