Since my last Yay or Nay? was a success, I decided to do another one!

This time, the question is about the Happy Home Academy Feature in ACNL.

Basically, Do you like Lyle grading your home?

Vote Yay or Nay, and if Nay, Tell me why!

nay. i got the final badge just so i could be done feeling like a piece of crap whenever i talked to lyle.
like, who cares my house doesnt have matching furniture in each room? (well, awkward enough, i have 3 rooms with the entire set in them now) ????
stop making me feel inadequate, my rooms are 10000000000000 times better than yours. and you dont judge the basement??? well you should because my spa is amazing.

frick you lyle.

I thought it was fun, even though it was a little frustrating sometimes. It helped me get some ideas of how I wanted at least one of my rooms look like after I was done with both the regular challenge and the theme challenge. After completing the theme challenge, I just wish he'd freeze the score so it'd display my highest score when I'm streetpassed, since I'm sure it's low now because of the way I'm arranging my items in my house (like some being on the ground even though the items I'm using or wanted to use would look better on the ground than on a table) or not including certain items (dressers, beds, etc.).

Nay, I like to decorate my house with pieces from a lot of series and that kills my scores >_>

Nay, part of the fun of decorating your home is being original and Lyle doesn't care for that. A bit of this and a bit of that often looks a LOT better than using the weird furniture sets. I need to go get that badge one day - and then never care for it again.

I only went up to 150k to get the Gold House Model and badge. I found that it made collecting complete furniture sets much more fun and made me more goal oriented so I vote YAY!

That being said, now that I'm done I've redecorated and don't think about the points anymore.

I don't really think about the HHA much, I just decorate my house how I want with colours and sets that don't match. :)

I never cared much for my HHA score. It does give you a slight feeling of achievement when you get a high score, but I feel even more accomplished when my house looks just how I like it. Once I got the gold HHA badge, I did whatever I wanted and now I really like how my house looks. I feel like I have more freedom to express myself now (also, I really like interior design).

I will not abide by your rules, Lyle! :p I am freeeee!

That's a good point. I don't know why it bothers me then. :P When I finished my theme challenge, I admit I delayed changing my rooms around and trying to come up with ideas by messing around with furniture, because of the fact I was worrying (even though I don't talk to Lyle anymore) about my score; and even now, I still make sure to have dressers, wardrobes, and beds in most of my rooms. >< But, I'm close to finishing two rooms, both of which doesn't have any of those. :] You're right the sense of accomplishment should be with however my house ends up looking like and whatever way I express my creativity. Thanks! :)

You're welcome! Set yourself free from Lyle's tyranny lol!

But in all seriousness, I really appreciate that the developers of AC:NL made interior design into a "mini-game". It is those kind of things that make the game fun to play and makes sure that all players have something they will find fun and you will almost always have something to do. Who knew doing chores could be fun! (when you finish them, at least)

Nay for me!
I'm a completionist, so I -had- to get that badge. I hated the way my house had to look in order for me to get that.
He's also bit annoying with his non-stop ramblings so.. extra nay for that.

Nay. Nintendo failed with the a bathroom and kitchen for each theme. A full kitchen or bathroom in the right theme should count. My rustic house lost points for the kitchen so I bought a set. Pass the challenge and than removed it.

In my newest town all my players got the golden badge. The mayor had to decorate to room to make him happy. Removed them once Mr. Badge Guy dropped by.
