(Halloween) Just me or anyone else getting only 1 item?

Heyo!

As I'm trick r treating on my island tonight I'm starting to freak out a little bit. I know that the items and DIYs you receive from your villagers in exchange for candy is random but (as of now) after 16 (YES 16!) Spooky Candy items and nothing else it seems I'm just wasting my lollipops

Huh, that's weird! I've been getting al items once and a lollipop every now and then. I'm only getting doubles now because I think I got everything? Still need some more lollipops for Jack for the final reaction I think!
Let me know if it remains like this because I can totally give you my doubles.

Edit: now that I think about it. They haven't given me any items previously available at all. Only the ones that are new for tonight.

I'm still missing the Garland (item + DIY), tablesetting (DIY) and fence (DIY). My beach is filled with candy sets lol

oof i'm not sure, I think I got them all throughout the month. The tablesetting and the garland are new, tho. I did get those diys. But I haven't gotten any double diys yet! Just a lot of double items.

Give the candy to the villagers. The lollipops are meant for Jack. Giving the villagers lollipops will always results in the candy set.
