Sadly this is just based on luck and rng, so unfortunately you can't do anything about it really just pray to the rng gods next time and hope gulliver will visit your town lol

Or pray that Nintendo fixes the god-awful NPC system in NH sometime soon. Leif and Kicks are guaranteed to show up every week even though they're the least interesting special visitors and K.K. and Daisy Mae block off the weekends leaving Gulliver, Redd, CJ, Flick, and Label fighting for just two days every week (Saharah is also guaranteed to show up every week, but at least that makes some sense). They need to either get Kicks and Leif permanent shops, reduce their appearance rates, or allow multiple special visitors a day.
