I finally have a bunch of black roses, so I'm going to make gold roses out of them. However, my town is FILLED with many hybrids & other flowers. I have the Beautiful Town ordinance on right now for that reason, but I know I'll have to turn it off in order to be able to create gold roses.

My question is: do I have to water each and every flower daily when I don't have the Beautiful Town ordinance on, or can I just check back daily and only water the ones wilting to bring them back to life? Or will that cause many of them to die completely? I have so many flowers it would take ages to water all of them.. even with the gold watering can.

Thank you! :)

I think it's best to drop them off in another town that doesn't have Beautiful Town enacted and watering them there. Doing it in your current town just seems way too risky and could result in you losing a lot of flowers. Assuming you don't have a second town, I'm sure a trusted user would let you plant them in their town and turn them into gold roses.

Also, the silver watering can is actually better when it comes to watering large amounts of flowers because its animation is much shorter. Just thought that would be helpful to mention.

Awww, no.. :( I don't have a second town indeed, and don't know who I could ask.

So basically I would actually need to water each and single other flower daily? I figure I'd only need to do this a couple of days as the black roses would wilt pretty quickly?

Keep in mind there are many trustworthy users who would likely be willing to help with this. If you made a thread in the Train Station, you would probably find somebody. If you are wary of who to trust, look at their Wifi rating.

If you don't want to do that, then you will probably have to water some of your flowers. Though you definitely do not have to water them all. Just the ones that are wilted. Flowers only become truly dead once they disappear. Until then they can be revived by watering. Just make sure to check your town every day for wilted flowers and you should be fine.

Isn't it that when they wild they only need to be watered to be saved? With that couldn't you just water the ones that wilt eachday to ensure they all survive? please correct me if im wrong

Ok, thank you for your helpful advice! If I turn on another ordinance right now, when should I expect the first flowers be wilted? Today already (it's 7.20PM here now) or only by tomorrow? I think I'll give it a shot since I play daily anyway.. I have a long train commute, so I play on the way to work & back. I should be able to manage watering every wilted flower this week :)

Flowers become wilted after a few days of not being watered, but the amount of time each takes will vary. Your Beautiful Town ordinance will still technically be active for today, and will be turned off when your town refreshes itself at 6AM. I hope it goes well for you.

Thank you! I hope so too, I've been saving black roses for a while now for this.. :)

I would place the important flowers inside the house so they don?t die. If you have closet space or if you have museum room that also works.

Good idea! I have an empty basement, so I think I'll put the very rare ones (like the blue & purple ones that take specific hybrids to breed with) in there. Thanks for your suggestion :)
