Before I say this, I'd like you all to know that I love Green Day and have nothing against them. They are great, really.
But my problem is when people call them a punk band. They're not. They're pop-punk, which is a difference. Punk bands are lesser known, and do not play on the radio. That is the main difference between the two. Just pointing it out for anybody to see. They are still great, but don't call them what they aren't. I like their ballads and longer pieces best, like Homecoming, Redundant, Restless Heart Syndrome, and Jesus of Suburbia.
