Gravity Falls ending (Spoilers!)

I know this is a month late and probably long forgotten by now but I'd like to hear everyones thoughts about the show ending and how they ended the show.

TBH I disliked the "prophecy" being people "like" the symbol could gather and seal Bill. In my opinion it would of been better if the people were all chosen from the start and was prophesied to use the wheel to destroy bill.

Oh and Stand memories coming back might mean Bill could come back?!

Any thoughts?

I found the ending logical and really loved it ! Al so the wheel thing is pretty cool , especially when he said who represents the glasses ! I was like " WTF !! ?" And , for your Bill can come back theory , check my signature . They're Bill Cipher last words : " Aaaagh !!! XOLOTL ! My time has come to burn . I incoke the ancient power that I may return . " Pretty cool , huh ? In his Last words , he clearely says the sentence " that I may return " . So , there are big chances that Bill is going to be back . Also the statuette ine the woods is a big clue .

That sounds cool and all but the creators said it was the last episode, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah I expected alot more replies but ohwell.

How do you guys feel about the show ending? personaly I'm really sad it has to go. It was one of my most favorite TV shows and I always loved watching it :/

X O L O T L is actually an aztec god of lighting and the dead-good Underworld guide, some people also think that Bill said A-X-O-L-O-T-L, but that's just a type of lizard, although there are Axolotl's seen in Gravity Falls it just doesn't tie in to Bill's words...I also want to say that when the footage and audio is reversed, when Bill says, 'I ENVOKE THE ANCIENT POWER..." he turns into a statue, more specifically an ancient statue. And when he says, "...THAT I SHALL RETURN!" He becomes massive...if you understand what I'm trying to say than you can probably agree that this is incredibly creepy, or coincidental I don't know.

I thought Stan holding his grudge even in the face of certain death was ridiculous, but rule of drama. Also didn't care for how quickly his memory returned, but they needed to wrap the episode up. What I did enjoy was how everybody had a chance to shine and the resolution to character arcs was satisfying. Was shocked and pleasantly surprised to hear the sheriff's profess their love for each other & Bill gleefully say "I've got some children to turn into corpses!" just 'cause it's the last thing I expected out of a Disney cartoon. They seem less and less conservative these days, it'll be interesting to see where they go in the future.

As for the show ending, I'm glad it got the ax when the creator wanted it to. It's pretty rare for something to die while it's still awesome...with cartoons it seems they just pump out season after season and the overall quality declines.

Id just like to say, I really love how sophisticated your arguments were.

The grudge seemed out of place to me aswell and did kinda make what was going on feel more less threatening but I must agree with your point of "rule of drama". Personally I did not like the way the ended the story, keeping in mind they were pressed for time. As for the weird and mature thing said... Yeah Gravity Falls is known for getting away with its mature content.

All in all, Im glad we got a great start to end. Shows that carry on for very long do seemed to loss charm.
