Got this gem while resetting last night.

To be honest, I would get the perfect town map with perfect villagers, then there would be a rock where I wanted to put my house, then the next day I would hit it with a shovel and it would break open

Ugh that's such a pain. I hate how you can't place your house on a breakable rock. I put my house at the top right on my map and there was a rock right by where I wanted to put it. Luckily there was one space that was okay for me to put it (it was inbetween the rock and the cliff) it was such a close call. I was going to be pretty annoyed if I couldn't stick my house in a private space, because to the top left, the area is too small to have any houses.

I would've easily taken that map if not for the dreaded pond/rock combo in font of the train station. I managed to turn it into a place I LOVE in my town, but if I were to reset I would def keep searching for another map. Grats on achieving the one you wanted, though. Having Re-tail by the docks is so awesome.

Oooh, I had a map with all the villagers lined up like this before! I posted it on Miiverse but I deleted the post after a while. It caught me off guard, haha. The villagers weren't anything special, though.

Yeah xD Those houses were crazy.

Here's my new town map though. Keeping this one. Two ponds, none in the way. No rocks in the way of anything. Peaches. Plaza in the center of map. -Zero- scary villagers. In fact, everyone who lives there is quite cute.

Wanted a retail right next to the beach dock, couldn't have asked for more.

Great layout! It's identical to mine except the retail and post office are in reversed positions. Not optimal as its always nice to have the Retail near the docks for selling that valuable island wildlife without having to walk far, but considering I got pears (which I wanted because they are one of the only perfect fruits that turn totally gold), reasonable village placement, and the fact that that it took me 6 hours of resetting to get, I'm sticking with it XD

this was a map i got awhile back while resetting my map. It had all the starting villagers perfectly lined up in a row which i didn't know was possible (this may have started my obsession with aligned plots). However, i didnt like the map and the villagers weren't all that great.

Wow that is a cool map, unreal villager house placement...but a lot of water :/ and a disconnected beach...good luck on your search for that map

Man it's so nice when they do that. I never dreamed that that could happen Lol. I would have kept the map I had if I didn't care about what I was aiming for so bad. Having Fauna and Fang was pretty amazing if I ever wanted to trade them in for someone else.
