Got a question about cycling/move-outs

I bought Fang in an auction and I was plot resetting when, because reasons, I accidentally had him move into a bad spot. If I get him in boxes and have a friend hold him, could I move him back into my town as soon as he's in boxes again or would I have to void him again via cycling?

lol yeah, the entire villager thing is kinda a huge pain

just let me put everyone on 24/7 lockdown game

You could definitely have a friend hold him for you, but you'd have to cycle through 16 villagers so that the data for Fang is wiped from your game before he'd agree to move back to your town.
