I've never been in a random dream with a town that's had pretty much any work put into it.

I end up feeling self conscious about my town, partially because it's unfinished, and partially because I think it's ugly. So whenever I'm feeling bad around it, I just head to a random dream.

"Yup, my town isn't that bad after all"

I feel horrible about my town. It is somewhat new and I have no paths, and I don't know how to fix the dirt.
So I will try that.
Thanks!

The towns I've visited through random dreaming are generally average, but my own town right now is still pretty poor in comparison. xD Grass decay everywhere, no paths laid down yet, items strewn all over from a million trades..I don't feel badly about it though. Once I clear my other goals and start working on it, it's going to be awesome. :p

I'm sure your town looks fine even if it's unfinished ^^

If you have dirt patches put flowers there and water them each day. It takes about a week but if you walk there minimally (only to water the flowers) the grass will grow back eventually.

I've never been to randoms before I usually go to people's from this site cause people are always asking. I might start going to randoms though if I ever get bored.

I feel kinda bad about my town because my junk is lying around everywhere xD but i do have some paths for about half my map, and a nice park like area with flowers :)

You probably went into my town. LOL.

That's exactly what I was going to say! lol.

My towns are very average. I think it may be people with average towns play the game differently. Some people "play" by organizing and decorating their towns in a very formal way. Some people play by getting all the badges. Some people play by finishing all the museum exhibits. Some people play by finding perfect villagers and decorating their homes. Etc.

:)

I don't often visit random dreams but maybe I got lucky with my few visits because the ones I've been to weren't so bad. I mostly visit towns posted up on this forum, and sometimes my friends dream towns, most of which are nicely designed and well planned out.

I've never been particularly jealous of others dream towns as even though my own is a WIP I've received very positive feedback about it and I'm happy with it's progress.

I don't visit random dream towns. Every town I visit is completely undeveloped and is boring to explore. I do get what you mean, though.

I feel you, literally everything in my town is only half-done and it looks horrible, but most of the random dreams I visit aren't landscaped or designed at all.

But every town is unique in its own way. Even if a random dream town isn't landscaped or anything, just the map layout alone is interesting to me!

yep, I do this all the time, sadly xD Though, it's usually really boring, and i can't stay for more than five minutes.

Then when I actually go to a good town, I end of thinking, "well, if I had this map, my town could be this good."

A lot of the random dream towns I visit are so obviously just starting-off towns that people either gave up on a long time ago and reset or forgot about or have only just started playing. It's mostly just a disappointment for me to get chucked into random towns like that every time so I never do random dreams anymore.

Yeah exactly. I play to fill my museum and often don't really bother about the landscaping but I was about to cut down all my trees and start fresh. So it will be even more nightmarish hahaha!
