I time hopped back and forth between two days and on one of the days (yesterday's date) Isabelle said there was a camper. I went into the game and then when I got to the campsite no one was there. Has anyone else experienced this?

I’ve only once had a villager mention a camper but not have one. Usually I seem to get a camper when a new villager has just moved in (day after boxes). I don’t know if there is data on that but it has happened to me many times.
I have seen others have this happen to them while they were tting to do the campsite trick so maybe it had to do with your tting backwards like you said? I cant confirm because it didnt happen to me and i am not sure if those people that i mentioned were tting backwards too.
I'm just worried I broke my campsite... :/
I think what happened was the game had data of "no campsite visitor" from 6/13 so when it rolled "yes campsite visitor" the game was confused so Isabelle said there was a camper but there actually was no one.

ive had the same thing! its because you played the game the day after the camper came, and then after you tt back they are gone. i think its because the game thinks 5 am is a new day, and im guessing you went pass that time
