Giving up on dreamies.

I'd say don't give up on them but simply cut back on actively looking. They will come to you in time.

Personally I also have 2 dream villagers that I really want in my town, as they were my best friends in Wild World. I like having my villagers move in naturally through the campsite, so I only put my own villagers up for adoption/last-minute auction, but not villager-for-villager trades. The other "dreamies" are villagers that interested me the most when I checked out all the different personalities. I still pick up random campers that make a good impression on me. I find the game to be more interesting this way.

I only had one that was my dreamie, whom I actually broke my own rules for and did some slow, forward time traveling in order to get. I have some "desirable" villagers, but I have no intention of spending a single bell on them. If someone is giving them away and I have space, sure, i'll take them, and same with camp outs or random move-ins.

I just now want either Eugene, Rocket, or Charlise to move out so I can try to get a lazy villager that I am currently missing; I like to have one of each personality (though I'd be happy to get rid of both Charlise and Rocket cause I don't care for the tomboy personality too much).

While I do have dreamies, I know I will never get them all for the simple fact that I'm really attached to most of my current villagers. In fact, even the ones that I will end up trading or what not, I love them too. XD As soon as I get a few of my dreamies, I'll be completely happy and probably will change my banner so I'm no longer looking.

Me too! I'm actually quite attached to some of my villagers... Like Freckles... I also miss Monty a lot ;_;

I dont really have dreamies but I do enjoy helpping people out by selling off critters who move out. =P

I only had 3 villagers I 100% insisted on having in my town and I cycled all of them myself. The rest were random move-in's I became attached to. I feel it's a better system since if you're too focused on obtaining dreamies you'll never appreciate the lesser known and loved villagers.

All villagers deserve love. Except Jambette.
