gillette venus and acnh teaming up!

i definitely don’t miss when everyone was white by default - granted, i’m white, so it was never something that affected me, but having the only way to darken your skin tone being a suntan that wasn’t even available year round was just,, kinda gross lmao. the solution to racism isn’t to make everything and everyone white.

that being said, this is super neat of them to do!

i'd honestly love to see scars/bruises/wounds and tattoos and piercings available as well. i love that in NH almost all skins have been represented (it'd be nice if they did like a slide bar for those who are between or whatever) it'd be sooooo cool if they added in prosthetic or the ability to use the wheelchair (we have the item) cuz i know some people would love that. it'd be neat to have things that happen irl and or just go with an oc or whatever. i know people would abuse it or make fun but imo acnh and all ac games are a second life so we should be able to live how we feel. people will always find the bad in the good and vice versa so why not enjoy each other for who we want to be and or are instead of shaming or jugging? after all a person is only as good as who they are on the inside.

Gillette Venus came out like 20 years ago and even back then they had a black model. (Yea, I'm that old that I remember when it was new.) 😅 A variety of skin tones is great.

Inclusivity is good... though I always take it with a grain of salt when companies do these sorts of things because it just seems like marketing. But, if it does some good, I'm all for it.

It's really Nintendo/Animal Crossing though that has allowed us to customize our characters after ourselves or whoever we wish to be along with more unique features. For that I'm grateful.
Yeah I also thought about the marketing aspect and found it a bit ironic that a hair removal company was advocating being comfortable with your natural body lol. But I still think it's such a nice gesture on their part, it'll help people feel better about themselves when they see that they aren't something that should be hidden. I love seeing stuff like this.

Edit: Read more comments and surprised more people agree with the marketing thing. It's a hard thing to know how to feel about, I do like that people are encouraged to feel better about themselves but yeah I definitely can't see past the fact that a lot of companies do this kind of thing just to get advertising and support from potential customers. Especially taking into account the irony mentioned in my first paragraph haha.

Also I thought for a second that Nintendo themselves created and released a legit prosthetic leg model for your character and was really impressed lol. Maybe in the next game.

If there was ever a time for a downvote button, this thread would be the reason.
I'm actually kind of glad this forum has no downvote button, on other sites people tend to abuse it when really if they disagree with someone's opinion I think they should either ignore OR explain their stance and have a productive conversation on the matter. Some people with opinions you disagree with might not have malicious intentions but simply just be more naiive or less educated and would benefit from a conversation :)

If they're simply being jerks they can just be ignored lol.

I don't disagree, but ignoring the problem only adds to it.

I guess you're right, maybe say your opinion and then leave it to prevent a pointless flame war? I don't know, I wish people just weren't jerks in the first place. But I've just seen heaps of people on Reddit be downvoted for an opinion (which isn't even unreasonable) even if it was politely spoken and I'm glad I don't have to worry about seeing that here.
