Gif in signature?

Hey, guys. I've tried to put a gif in my signature (replacing everything that's currently in it), and I sized it down so that it met the site requirements. Whenever I try to apply the change, though, it says something along the lines of "you can't have a gif in your signature". I figured I'd need to purchase it in the shop or something, but that option's not available.

Is this something that's limited to a certain amount of people that bought the ability in the shop, or is it just something funky going on with me? Help is appreciated!

I could be wrong, but I don't think the site uploader supports gifs (assuming that's what you're using). Try uploading to a site like imgur and use that link instead.

i think i've heard that if you've ever gotten in trouble for your signature, you're not allowed to have gifs in your sig anymore. probably just a rumor. try uploading to imgur or photobucket, you should be able to use gifs.

Haven't heard that one before. But to clear it up that rumor is false.

Just use imgur or something to upload and link them via the img codes, but make sure they don't go over the size limit.
