Is there a way to tell which type of item your villager will like? I've seen Snake wear a shirt I gave him ALL the time, and my other villagers never wear the clothes I gave them :( I just want my villagers to look cute in more than just their default outfits ...

Id also like to know if this is possible. They change so frequently

Not sure if this will be of any help, but... I've sent clothing to them in the mail and they never touch them.

But when I gave Tutu a ballet outfit in person, she wears it a lot. Literally every day after I've given it to her.

I've given both Kabuki and Raymond maid dress outfits in person (lol) and they only wore it when I gave it to them but now they just sit in their houses ... I want to believe that it has something to do with the villager's personality and the 'theme' associated with the piece of clothing, but I'm not too sure.

I've given multiple villagers random clothes I thought would look cute on them and none of them complained. They all wear the clothes that I gave them, but they rotate them with the original clothes and workout clothes too. They're just expending their closet it seems.

Raymond acted like I gifted him a million bells with the maid dress but alas ... The poor thing just sits in his home!

He used it for his house!? I haven't had that happen to me yet! Guess I've been lucky? You could always try gifting him a ton of maid dresses but I'd worry about him turning his house into an exhibit for them...

Good luck! There must be some trick to taming this beast into wearing a dress LOL jk tho Raymond is seriously precious

Felicity cycles through everything I've given her, and I've given her three different outfits. Celia and Canberra will wear what I've given them, but I've also only given them one extra outfit each.

Meanwhile, Raymond only wears one of the coats I gave him, but I'm wondering if it's because I gave him two of the same coat, but in different colors.

I gave Raymond the "college sweater" and he wears it quite often! He swaps between that and his original clothes. I have heard that he does not wear the maid outfit anymore after trying it on the first time, but he does keep and wear the cafe outfit.

I gave Tad an Outdoor Hat that looked great with his shirt. Similarly he only wore it for a day, then put it in his house.
